This power cord with the in-line fuse allows me to take my Garmin Chartplotter home and work with it at home by simply connecting it to a small 12 volt battery. It allows me to create routes using Homeport and immediately upload them using an SDHC Card. This allows me to check out the route on the Chartplotter without having to go to the boat.
