Very funny.
Pam Ayres personifies feminism in the 21st century. She is sexy and witty. She tells us so many times in her comedy routines. This is good clean humour with some dirt thrown in, from a comic genius who is under rated world wide just because of her accent. She may sound like a country bumpkin but her poems are very clever. It amazes me how she thinks up such funny conversations. She portrays pathos very well too. She has a unique niche in comedy circles because her stories are hilarious, very accessible and very human. Her warmth is like the sun shining as she tells her wonderful tales and poems.

Should be on prescription.
You can't go wrong with the lovely Pam Ayres. I gave this as a Xmas gift, but will definitely treat myself to one sometime soon, as I so enjoyed the radio series when it was on. Her brand of warm, observational humour is just what we all need to get us laughing at her, ourselves and all the daft things that tend to get us down day by day. By the way, do go to see her live if you get the chance, it's a real feelgood outing. Until then, make do with the CDs!

Good Laugh
I have really enjoyed listening to these CDs on long journeys up and down the M6 I diidn't hear the series when it was originally transmitted. I think Pam is very underrated and after listening to these I bought her autobiography!
