Packmate 95000 Vacu-Seal Starter Kit with Handheld Vacuum Sealer and Bags

Great price compared to expensive models. Recommended product for the kitchen. Will order more bags to preserve more food items.

I was looking on websites for a vaccum packer for food and was originally looking for one of the counter top machines. After looking at a link for this product and noticing the price difference I thought I would give it a go. To be honest I am gald I did not pay a lot more for a machine that would have taken up a lot more room and did a similar job. I have found this product to be very useful, and although the larger more expensive machines may extract a little more air, this small machine is more than adequate, and the re-usable bags I purchased alongside are also very good.

Absolute junk I'm afraid. Unfortunately none of the 3 medium bags supplied are capable of holding a vacuum for more than a few seconds. They leak like sieves. I've ordered a much better product that was recommended by a friend for £9.99 on one of those TV shopping channel websites. Product is also not as described - there are not 2 Large bags: 27cms x 29.5cms 10 5/8" x 11 5/8") in the product I received. Hopefully as product was not as described I'm hoping for a simple return and refund at LPC Home Products cost. Watch this space! --------------------------------------------------- I must add that I had an apology, was asked to keep the product and was told I had been refunded within the hour of my 1st email. Thanks - LCP Home Products. I then received notification from Amazon that the full price had been refunded to my card within 4 hours! On a Saturday too!

this product is under estimated in my opinion....it seals food to keep fresh.but i use my spare one for on holiday...i put all dirty clothes in a bag.vacuum seal it til i get home....no more smelly cases or holdalls....tried other makes of vac sealers...but nothing is as robust as this product.........wish it had a mains plug in bit....to save on batteries....thanks once again.ally.

The bags for this machine are poor to say the least. I bought the combination order of machine & bags. 7 of these bags did not hold the vacuum for more than a day. I returned these to the manufacturer and got clarification that they were faulty. It was hassle, time consuming, cost me a padded bag and, a trip to the post office. I couldn't fit the other larger bags in. Scott Bros. sent me 7 bags replacement 2 weeks later. No apology, no refund for my padded bag, no contribution for petrol, time and hassle! They requested I return the remainder bags before they would exchange them! Stuff these people. I wouldn't run a business like this. Don't buy this product or you'll waste your money. The supplier does not refund postage either so, beware.

Item arrived quickly and was found to be very good, especially the instructions and to get a good seal for Garlic - previously found impossible, I used their tip for sealing liquids ( putting a paper towel behind the valve assembly ) and the vacuum held! As has been noted in other reviews, it appears excellent value !

I recently purchased the starter kit after seeing a youtube explain how to use the vacu-seal unit with the foodsaver jar sealer. So I bought both the starter kit and the jar sealer and I'm very, very pleased. The vacu-seal seals the mason jars perfectly. I've also experimented with using the vacu-seal bag, and so far after 24 hours, it's holding its seal just fine in the freezer. However, the bags are way too expensive for me, so I experimented with using the vacu-seal bag as a chamber to seal other much less expensive ziploc bags. I only received the medium size bags, so the quart bags have to be pushed in to fit. Of course I don't have the ziploc bags full -- I use them to seal single-servings of meals I prepare for the freezer. I started the zipper a bit, and after using the vacu-seal to get out as much air as possible, and while the vacu-seal bag is still sealed, I run my fingers along the ziploc in the ziploc bag. Then I remove the ziploc bag and quickly make sure it's tightly sealed. I've gotten some pretty good vacuums that way. However, I think it would work much better if I had the larger bag to use for the vacuum, so I found a bag of 7 on eBay and ordered them tonite. Expensive for 7 bags, but I will only use them as chambers to seal other much less expensive bags. I've sealed about a dozen jars and about a dozen bags so far and am very, very pleased that I do not have to buy an expensive vacuum sealer. Thank you Packmate.

The seller did not state that he did not sell the refill bags to go with this and they cannot be found on line anywhere. Item is totally useless to me now. It works well but only came with 3 bags and I have already used them.

The included batteries were almost dead, but with new batteries it works excellently and is easy to use. Packmate bags are superior to Ziploc. The Vacu--Seal Pump is very easy to use.
