YINKO Herculite 2 Casting Plaster 2.5kg White High Strength Smooth Finish

Absolutely love this plaster. Plaster of paris was too crumbly and doesn't give the smooth finish that i was looking for. This plaster is perfectly smooth. Sets hard and quickly. Its strong and stable enough to use my rotart tool, and other carving tools, when i need to, without crumbling and falling apart. Its alao light weight. The colour looks white to me. Which i wanted. I will definately be buying more.

Good product

Too brittle for my taste...iam making small parts for a model and the ends chip and break. If you are making thicker parts the this is probably ok.

I mix it in a bowl, I don't have any way of degassing but after bashing it on the table and carefully pouring into silicone moulds I find I don't get too many bubbles. Its pretty tough, too. I usually manage to successfully demould sections as small as 0.5cm diameter. Of course, they're not durable but they serve my purposes. Its also easy to sand and takes autoprimer well.

This produces very nice plaster of paris, however, it doesn't produce much of it. 2.5kg doesn't go a very long way. I have since ordered a bigger bag.

I have used Herculite 2 before and it is an excellent product, so much stronger than plaster of paris and gives a smoother finish. Would recommend this product.

this arrived quickly, the bages were smaller than i would have thought , but plaster is heavy....wish they did the bigger bags like 25k
