Excellent product worth buying
Best small headphones I have ever had - noise cancellation is amazing and sound quality surprisingly good for such a small headphones. Worth buying. I have it now for several years and use it in noisy places like planes and in the gym battery holds really long even far away from source . They fit well in the ears and don’t come out easily and are also very light so you don’t fill them when they are in. ( I even used them as pure noise cancelling during long flights to reduce noise level - it worked perfectly) I really like this product .

Game changer. Pure Silence and Perfect Sound
I've finally found the perfect balance of comfort, sound quality, and unparalleled noise cancellation with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. Five stars simply don't do these justice—they are truly in a league of their own. Design & Comfort: Forget You're Wearing Them Bose absolutely nailed the design and fit. These earbuds are incredibly light and extremely comfortable, even during long listening sessions. I can wear them for hours without any ear fatigue, which is a massive win. They also look good—sleek, modern, and high-quality, exactly what you expect from Bose. “The Gold Standard of Noise Cancelling” The primary reason to buy these is the excellent noise cancelling, and it delivers. It's the best I've ever experienced in an earbud format. They create a pocket of absolute silence that completely melts away the sounds of a busy commute, a noisy office, or a flight. It's truly transformative. Acoustic Brilliance and Versatile Modes The listening experience is nothing short of amazing. The audio sounds amazing—rich, detailed, and perfectly balanced, making every song feel like a private concert. What really sets the QC Ultra apart is the incredible versatility of its modes, transitioning seamlessly from "Aware" to "Immersion." The Aware mode lets you stay connected to your surroundings without taking the earbuds out, while the Immersion mode combines that legendary noise cancellation with spatialized audio, creating a soundstage that makes you feel utterly enveloped in your music. If you’re looking for premium earbuds that offer unmatched comfort and industry-leading performance, look no further. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra is the only choice.

Great sound but let down by a few nights niggles
I bought these after my Sony earbuds failed just outside the warranty period, they had a lot to live up to after experiencing the superb Sony noise cancellation features, although I found the Sony earbuds were too easy to fall out. The Bose buds fit perfectly with the extra rubber tab 'locking' them into the ear. The Bose buds have a great richness to the sound which in my opinion is superior to the Sony buds but there's a few issues that could possibly be rectified through firmware updates. One issue that can't be sorted by an update is the design of the buds when sitting in the charging case - I have large fat fingers and find it difficult to get the buds out of the case, it's almost impossible when wearing gloves and I often find I'm dropping them when trying to get them out. Another annoyance with the case is that there appears to be no way to know what the current battery level is, even in the app. The only way I know if the case is fully discharged is when the buds fail to recharge, the Sony buds gives the battery percentage in the associated app. I wear these buds most days while walking outside and through the long wet winter we have just experienced found them unusable when wearing them with the hood up on my waterproof coat - the reason being that they constantly stop or start everytime the hood touched the earbuds, a quick option to temporarily cease the touch controls on the app would solve this. Finally and the biggest annoyance I experience with these buds is the poor recognition of the touch function on the buds and lack of any feedback when tapping the earbuds. There is no audible feedback (like on the Sony buds) meaning one has no idea if a tap has been registered and it seems that the tap is not recorded more often than it is. So I end up multiple tapping to try to stop or start the playback as nothing happens, only to find that the phone has lost signal or isn't responding due to another reason. I also end up skipping tracks with multiple taps when trying to just pause or restart a track - a simple beep to acknowledge the tap has been registered would make so much difference. The Bose noise cancellation works reasonably well but the 'aware' setting still doesn't let enough external sound through in my experience, with the Sony buds I could pause the sound and hold a reasonable conversation with someone stood next to me, with the Bose I still need to remove them to be able to hear the person fully. In summary the quality of the sound is great (I listen more to speech radio than music), but the usability of the Bose earbuds let's them down enough that without improvement I wouldn't buy them again. These might seem like minor usability issues but if I were to replace these buds tomorrow then I would buy Sony, not Bose. Update, July 2024 - I've downgraded my review to a one star as despite the quality of the sound these buds deliver, it's of no use of they can't be controlled. The 'tap' to pause/restart is an absolute joke, you never know why the audio hasn't stopped or restarted as there's no audible confirmation of the gesture - so you end up having to get the phone out of your pocket. Even worse you then tap again thinking the gesture hasn't been recognised and end up skipping forward a track. I'm now seriously considering binning these buds die to their unusability and purchasing a different brand. Such a shame as I've been a long term Bose user - no longer. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Bose continuing the tradition EXCELENCE
Fabulous! I’ve been using Bose gear for well over a decade for music at home, on holiday and long haul flights. Having forgotten to take my buds on a recent trip I picked up some cheaper Sony noise cancelling buds. I really couldn’t believe how poor the sound quality was in comparison. I suppose you get what you pay for! Bose Ultra Buds are my latest upgrade from my now ancient QC30 neckband buds. Having considered both gen 1 & gen 2 Ultras, I opted for gen 1 Ultra at a bargain reduced price. Reviews show only a few detail upgrades on gen 2 one being wireless charging, not a big deal for me. These QC Ultras continue to provide sound performance levels at the highest level with awesome active noise cancellation. The new Bose app supports a variety of modes for music, commute, workout etc and has preset features for all making sound and noise cancellation settings quick and simple for all. I find the fit comfortable and stable enough to not be concerned about losing a bud when active. Overall: BOSE ROCK would I recommend these to a friend: Definitely 👍🏻

Ultimate sports earbuds
This is the best noise canceling, my mtw4 was great at anc, but this is somehow better! The fit security is unbeatable, i never need to adjust it. The only earbud out of 6 earbuds I own that I never have to adjusted. It is 100% secure. Comfort is also the best. The sound is a typical v shape, I heard someone stay it had alot of mids but that was wrong. It's tuned for sub bass and highs. The trebble sounds ugly, so i keep it down. Bass is the deepest I've heard, but with an average sound like this (still pleasant) it doesn't really matter... You just have to be ready for the bugs and glitches. Bluetooth disconnects sometimes, the worst thing that happened is not having noise canceling on one side when I took it out the case, accompanied by a muffled sound. It happened twice with the first 4 days of me owning it. I was fed up and wanted to return it right away. The first time it happened I had to reset it, second time it fixed itself after disconnecting itself. I chose not to return it and now (2 weeks later) it hasn't happened again.

Amazing product, well worth the money
Bought these in July 2024, have just bought again as one of the earbuds had physically broken. No fault of the make nor the design, instead I dropped them. The sound quality it arguably superior to the Airpods and battery undoubtedly miles better. A single charge and these last six hours. As someone who works in a loud warehouse for 12 hour shifts, they are amazing as I charge them over lunch and they are ready to go again. The adaptability and customisation of the attachments to help the fit is impeccable as I struggled to find in ear headphones that fit. They are comfortable, have never given me the earache that other earphones did and are easy to clean. Sure, occasionally there is an issue with the sound cutting out but it's so sporadic and all you have to do is pop the earphones back into the case and go again. Really easy to use and pair and I love the fact you can customise the sound in the app. 10/10 product

Not great
1 YEAR UPDATE: new replacement product, slight improvements… As my initial review below stated, I wasn’t particularly pleased with these earbuds but I stuck with them. At the turn of the year (having now owned these for approx. 8-9 months) one of the earbuds stopped connecting for no apparent reason. Credit to Bose, I contacted them on their online support, and we ran through all the various factory reset options, and managed to get it working again. Alas 24hrs later I was back to where I was and after I tried these troubleshooting steps again they had given up the ghost. Bose however were very helpful and as my product was still covered by warranty, they sent me a label and I returned the earbuds to be sent a new pair a couple of weeks later. The subsequent earbuds have had the odd issue, but (touch wood) have been better. I’m not sure if Bose have made any physical or software changes to them, or if the first batches they made were awful, but these seem to be much better. I’ve left my score at 3/5 because when they work, they are brilliant, but for a new product to go to market and have so many customers complain about the same issues is really poor. One other update… the main thing than annoys me still is them popping out slightly. I seem to be constantly re-twisting them back into my ear canal, but when you touch them it activates the controls on them to stop the music, or alter the listening experience!!! It is so infuriating… I wish I could lock this off in the app or similar, when I am working out I set a playlist or listen to a mix, so I don’t need to alter this at all, so for me this is a feature that needs to be added, but could just be me… either way, my ears apparently aren’t the right fit for these, which is a shame because they apparently they were for decades before on other Bose products. ORIGINAL POST: I have owned a variety of Bose headphones over the years, but my favourites by far were the Bose Soundsport Bluetooth Wired headphones. So much so I had two pairs which lasted ages and when I heard they were going to discontinue them I bought one last pair so I could have a set for another few years. I used these headphones mostly down the gym, running, rowing, or even at work as a gardener, so it is safe to say I lead an active lifestyle, but most importantly I want a set of headphones that are durable, sound great, comfortable and also fit perfectly so that despite moving around they do not pop out at the slightest moment. So when my beloved last pair of soundsport gave up the ghost a few weeks ago I figured it was time to look around at the options and figured that because I was so impressed with how the last set of Bose headphones I owned, I would trust them again and go with their latest set of earphones. After owning them for two weeks and giving them a good trial they are not up to standard, but come at a much higher price also. Let’s start with the app which you need to download to get connected and also change the various settings. At first it looks very glossy and lots of cool gadgets, but as other reviewers have stated it is a little glitchy and after only a few minutes it crashed on me and wouldn’t connect. (NB I have the latest software update on my phone so it is not like I haven’t the latest version to work alongside the app). Secondly the sound. The immersive sound is very impressive and it has three settings; the first to leave as is per the recording, the second if you are to sit still the sound stays very central in your head, and the third, movement which allows you to move your head around and be active and the sound follows you around, it really is very impressive. But… I found at times it cuts out returning you to the off setting which jolts you back to a different sound and feel and then returns a second or two later thus resulting in this very odd and uncomfortable listening experience as it reverts back and forth. Next up the fit. And this is the worst of the lot. As I said before, having had the Bose Soundsport headphones, and yes they are larger in comparison for in-the-ear headphones to these, but the fit is magnificent. These come with three different fittings, and I have tried all three and a cross variety of the three because I am aware that my ears might be ever so slightly different in shape/size by the slightest millimetre and so it is worth trying to figure out what is best for you. I tried all of these and despite this the fit just didn’t feel quite right. When out running they jump ever so slightly in the ear but because of the noise cancelling features it sounds like someone is jabbing something in your ear, like a ‘thud, thud, thud’ with every step you take. The disappointment I have for these is overwhelming, especially at the premium price. I don’t know how Bose can make something that is worse than a previous product and get it so so wrong. I guess if you are sat at a desk or sitting at home listening to music these might be good, but I just want a pair of headphones that are designed for exercise and aren’t a set of cans to put over your head, but have the listening experience to boot. I will most certainly persevere with these, mostly because I have to now having spent a small fortune on these, but they are a huge disappointment based on previous headphones bought by Bose.

Wow. Powerful headphones that are extremely comfortable
I recently got my hands on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. Let's dive into what makes them exceptional. First and foremost, the sound quality is simply outstanding. Whether I'm listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls, the audio is crisp, clear, and immersive. The Spatial Audio feature adds a whole new dimension to my listening experience, making the sound feel more real and placing it directly in front of me. Comfort is another area where these earbuds shine. With other headphones it has taken my ears a while to get used to having them in for long periods of times, I have had no issues what so ever for having these in all day at work. Now, onto the occasional cutouts. While these earbuds offer exceptional sound quality and comfort, I did experience occasional cutouts during use. However, this hasn't been a deal-breaker for me, as the overall experience they provide more than makes up for it. Once they disconnect usually a simple tap and they are reconnected. One of the features I love is the ease of use. Setting up shortcuts to easily navigate through the different modes – Aware, Quiet, and Immersion – has made switching between them effortless. Whether I need to hear my surroundings or immerse myself in music,. In terms of battery life, these earbuds offer up to 6 hours of listening time, with an additional 2 hours with just a 20-minute charge. So far I believe this to be accurate and I havent had to charge the case at all. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds deliver exceptional sound quality, great comfort, and easy usability. Despite occasional cutouts, their immersive listening experience and customizable fit make them a top choice for anyone looking for premium wireless earbuds.
