Perfect cuts, well worth the money and then some!
We used this bit to cut 3/4" baltic birch plywood around an undermount sink (yes, we have sealed the end grain against water intrusion). The cuts are incredibly smooth, easy to control, had zero tear out, zero burning and required very little sanding. The bearing also did not cause any issues with the (black quartz) sink basin finish (we did have a line of blue painter's tape there to protect the finish, but the bearing didn't burn or tear at all).

Well worth the $$$!!!
It is a bit pricey, but WOW what a router bit!! I don't know why, but it was bigger than I expected (Long). VERY SHARP! I use the flush trim bit to trim off tops and bottoms of wood boxes...I use a lot of Wenge which can splinter a lot easily. I was using a Rockler flush trim bit which had straight blades rather than spiral. It did okay, but sometimes it would chatter and it chunked out a lot of Wenge that it shouldn't have. In trimming the tops and bottoms of 20 boxes, I only had a couple that splintered with the Whiteside bit...a vast improvement over the Rockler brand bit. Definitely worth the money...cuts super smooth with no sanding needed! The spiral blades are far better than the straight blades!

Amazing bit
Do yourself a favor. Look at the price, tell yourself that quality isn't cheap, and just buy the bit. I promise you will not regret it. I bought this bit to trim down work pieces attached to a template. I had used an Irwin flush trim bit that I had bought at Lowes a few years ago. It worked, however anytime I was working with wood that had difficult grain (i.e. curly maple, red cedar, knotty pine) I would always experience tear out. I tried many different techniques but still had the same experience. So I decided to buy quality and I am upset that I didn't buy this bit sooner. It has cut through everything that I have thrown at it like butter, and best of all I have not had tear out! The spiral action of the cutting head makes all the difference in the world. Buy once, cry once.

Boom boom shake the room!
Wow. I have been making skateboards out of 1/2” hardwood and was struggling with the edges - I glue up panels, plane them, then trace an outline with an mdf template that I follow with a bandsaw. Once I have the rough cut made I ran into trouble. I tried some cheap bits that chattered and chipped and I had to get the rough cut so close it was just as easy to go to the sander but was not as accurate and I desired more control.I looked into these after much research and could not be happier or safer. This thing is sharp and cuts clean - the bearings are smooth and it worked so well for me that I came in from the shop to write this review. This thing is worth more, priced fairly, and I hope it lasts a for a while. It sure seems like it will.I am using it in a router table with a good, modern 3-1/2” router.Enjoy!

Performs flawlessly.
For cleaning up the edges of laminated HDPE it functioned as expected. S M O O T H.

It's OK. Nicely built. Wish I had bought the Amana instead but hey it does the job.
Make sure to trim as much excess waste from what ever your going to route first

The Reviews Don’t Lie
The media could not be loaded. I bought this based on reviews after ruining a few projects and I am so glad I did. This compression bit is amazing and smooth, even when you have to go the wrong way against the grain. Really great for any template work! Worth the price in my opinion, hopefully it lasts.

The right tool for flush trim template use. Particularly with thicker stock
Straight flush trim bits are more likely to cutch grain and tear out making the job not only more costly-having to redo work but also more dangerous. Would still recommend great care while template routing and cutting work as close to template size as possible for safety but this bit provides a remarkably smooth and quiet cut compared to the straight bit. Definitely not cheap but worth it
