I'm a professional groomer who's just starting out in terms of money and not being able to afford the higher quality gear yet, and the professional set is great for just that! Everything in this kit is surprisingly durable and can take accidental drops perfectly fine. The comb can definitely pull out and break down some hefty knots and mats without the teeth bending at all, it's pretty strong! Despite not being top-of-the-line quality shears, they come decently sharp and don't dull very quick at all; HOWEVER, after having them professionally sharpened after a few months of use, they DEFINITELY have a higher quality feel to them, of course, and feel "more professional", which further exemplifies how getting these are such a good deal if you treat them well! They aren't too loud when cutting either which I love, I know some shears that are way too loud when cutting. They're all pretty comfortable in my fingers too, and while my fingers are quite slim and slide through the holes easily, just getting those cheap and simple hole grips solve that issue perfectly. The curves did loosen a little quickly at first when I purchased these, maybe after about a few weeks, but that isn't a big deal to me though, as you can tighten it back up easily anyway, and fortunately it hasn't loosened at all since. Plus, I feel it's a little normal for them to loosen over time with consistent use anyway. The thinners are my FAVORITE and are such a great in between of nicely blending but also taking off a decent amount like chunkers. Overall a pretty good set for the price and great for anyone just starting out grooming or owners wanting to groom at home!

Easy to use, and great for grooming puppies hair. My puppy is now over 1 year old and he doesnt mind them at all, but just keep in mind that there are techniques that you need to develop while using the comb. When my dog was a puppy his hair texture was hard to work with. But I learned to cut the knots through not across and to use the comb the same way. Use the tips like if your tugging if it doesnt come out im sorry but thats a serious knot and it needs to be cut through. My doggys hair is curly with three different textures. Case is great, i might have to sharpen them now after so long. But I used them a lot.

I have ordered one of the other kits from these sellers a few years ago and decided to upgrade since my scissors were dull and wouldn't cut anymore. These were amazing! They cut so much better than the other ones, and they're longer which made it easier to cut my golden's fur. The chunkers worked very well and created good definition in his coat as well compared to the last ones I got. I am not a professional groomer, but have groomed my golden exclusively since he was a puppy. If you're thinking about getting these for the same reason, or if you're just starting out professionally and can't afford the fancy ones, get these! I decided i would purchase a cheap set of shears as i’m learning to groom and wouldn’t want to ruin anything high quality. The weight is amazing, seems to be sharp, finger holes are perfect for me personally. easy to use! they come with a cloth to clean them!! and don’t seem to be dull at all. I would definitely recommend these and can’t wait to use them!!

I used this set on my Morkie and Biewer. The thinning sheers worked very well. The curved scissors were good for my Morkie. They are a good quality and conveniently stored in the case. .
