I’m currently learning how to do my own nails, and this Modelones Poly Gel Kit has been incredibly helpful. It comes with everything I need to practice, and the 48W UV/LED lamp works great. The autumn colors are beautiful and perfect for different styles. It’s a great kit for beginners like me who want to learn and improve their nail skills at home. I’m really happy with it!

This set is easy to use. It's value for money with a lot of colours to choose from. Very pretty finish. The lamp is small cute and works well, not for full curing tho but works well. Just as seen in the picture.

5 stars as long as you understand this is quite a shear almost translucent color set. This is a softer poly to work with ( don't over do the slip solution, I actually prefer my on home made slip solution anyway) but hardens plenty hard. It also makes a great base to build a color gel set on, as long as it's well sanded with 180 grit.

There is a slight learning curve but all in all a good product for the price! I’ve never attempted poly gel before and was able to apply to my toes fairly easily! It’s a huge plus that you need to set it with UV light so there’s time and room to make adjustments on application before they harden!

Included everything you need to learn poly gel. (Aside from the tips I ordered separately) the only issue I had was the gel nail glue didn't work so I had to purchase a separate glue to glue the tips on but if your just using it for the forms than it really is a perfect kit

First time EVER doing anything like this. It was fairly easy but took some getting used to. I wanted a natural look. The first time I got it way too thick. It came out terrible. Second try was a lot better since I knew what to expect. Directions say to use a paper towel to use less slip liquid (whatever it is called) but I found it worked better with just pressing against the wall of the glass a couple of times and NOT wiping on a paper towel. Remember to thin out nail on the backside BEFORE curing so it isn’t a blob. I found pressing nail onto nail bed above cuticle and then pushing downward toward the cuticle helps to prevent the gel from gushing out at bottom. I did one nail at a time and it took me about two hours. I had to redo two nails. Wasn’t bad! Will add to review after a week of wear to see how well they hold up! 1 Week update: Already took them off. They were lifting and my hair would get stuck under them. I ended up breaking two nails already (and mine were not even that long). Even the nails that I did a fairly good job applying were starting to lift at the cuticle. I don't know if it was the pressure of the tip of the nail or what. I do like to tap my nails quite a bit. Overall they were a nice pretty nail but just not super durable. At least to me. Def a cheap alternative to the nail salon, just not as sturdy as like acrylics.

I bought this with the goal of doing my nails at home, saving me time and money since I'm a single mother, and it worked perfectly. It has a wide variety of colors. The only thing is that they don't last very long; it's more for daily use. But it does work to keep your nails neat and help your natural nails grow.

I'm going to start this review by saying there's a learning curve to this product but how easy to use and learn this new skill directly correlates with your willingness to learn and the patience you need to practice. The more you do, it becomes much easier. You might mess some nails up (even after some successful trials) but once you get the right amount of product to use in each nail size... you are golden. THE REASONS I'M GIVING THIS A BAD REVIEW 1. is because it is a scam... Do you think you are getting a deal? *NO*. and more than the money… I’m upset because I took into consideration: what the kit came with, colors and price… The only reason I got this kit instead of the other one (I liked the other set/brand colors more) was because I thought I was getting 42% off the original price (I paid $39.99). If I knew they arranged the product listing to always be $39.99 I would have gotten the other option. So, be aware they play with the price and they aren't honest. Choose the colors you want! they are lying to you about the price and discount. 2. Made me even madder that the colors were not as they were shown... Do you see that brown-looking one? is more almost purple, so pale and transparent. A friend who after seeing my first nails try wanted to get the same set, so the colors shown and compared... was shocked. She didn't not expect a mistake like this woulc happened on an amazon listing (She didn't buy this one, she bought . Do you see that orange-red right next to it? It looks more like a pink orange and is not as heavy of color as it is really soft, waay more transparent than expected, and not at all the shade. Do you see both the glitters? not at all what I thought I would get since the glitter shapes and how transparent they really are don’t show well in the picture but they are not close at all. I'm looking to get the colors from the option/brand I mentioned above. Please don't base your decision on buying until you know this. I know I would have purchased the other option instead of this one. ••• *SUGGESTIONS BEFORE BUYING* ••• Look up some shorts or videos to see the techniques some people use. Have product remover, acetone, cotton pads for soaking, a nail drill, water, time, and a comfortable area to practice.
