Perfect Reading, Especially if in 20s!
I read this at 26, and feel like this was the perfect age at which to dive into it. The book spoke so profoundly to the wilderness that can be one's 20s, and was both relatable, amusing, and heart-breaking. I couldn't put it down and read it in a day! I'm sure it would also appeal to other ages as well. Absolutely loved it, and would recommend to everyone

Lighthearted fun!
Everything I Know About Love is a hilariously honest memoir about Dolly Alderton's experiences of love and life throughout her 20s.She never shies away from the truth, often in a humorous account, at her own expense. Her writing is incredibly relatable. Despite not having the same experiences as her (I mean, who has had as colourful a life as she details in these pages?), I still found little pieces of her story to take away and find comfort in my own experiences from my 20s.Her brutally honest and flamboyant but elegant way with words had the ability to make me laugh and cry alongside her. I especially loved the picture perfect map of London she painted in my mind as we took this incredible journey of reflection alongside her. This is definitely a must read for anyone approaching 30 or newly turned 30 in my opinion, as she tells her realisation of romantic love should not define you, and how even though its not always romantic, everyone is surrounded by love daily by those closest to them.

Easy fun read but slightly overhyped
This book is a delightful memoir filled with humor and relatable anecdotes about love, friendship, and growing up. Alderton's writing style is engaging and easy to follow, making it a pleasant read overall, though there are moments where the pace slows down.As someone living in London, I enjoyed the vivid descriptions of familiar locations, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to my reading experience. While I couldn't relate to all of her experiences, particularly her party-centric lifestyle, I found aspects of her journey resonated with me, especially as someone close to her age who is also navigating the complexities of relationships and adulthood. However, despite its charms, I can't help but feel that the book is slightly overhyped. While it offers valuable insights and entertainment, it may not live up to all the praise it has received. Nonetheless, it remains a worthwhile read for anyone seeking a light-hearted and relatable story about love and life.

What a book!!
Wow, what a book! Haven’t had a book that has resonated with me more. It’s as if Dolly Alderton is my brain incarnate. Beautifully written, profound, touching, and hopeful. Great book to get for friends or sisters coming into their late 20s/early 30s. Can’t recommend more!

Everything and nothing?
There was a lot of hype around this book, and so I thought I would read it for an insight into love and romance. The book was well-written and easy to read, with various different life experiences recounted in a warm and humorous way. I liked Dolly's "voice", her empathy, as well as her poetic and elegant use of language. While the book has many positive attributes and I am an admirer of Dolly's intelligence and insights on The High Low podcast, I found this read a little too frivolous and superficial for my liking. Much of the content was slightly daft and inconsequential and while some would argue that is the source of the book's charm and essence, I remained unconvinced. I suppose I was looking for an in-depth analysis of love, with deep reflection and wisdom, rather than a straightforward account of somebody's experiences. Perhaps because I am not that interested in parties and socialising, for example, I could not relate to some of the content. It could simply be that this book was not what I erroneously perceived it to be and it is not the book that is at fault. Either way, for whatever reason, while I did enjoy it in some ways, it did not quite live up to my expectations. Perhaps if I had read this "pre-hype", I would have approached it less critically.

This is so relatable, beautiful, and such a good read. It’s like sitting down with the your besties and a bottle of wine chit chatting about life. Highly recommend 💙
