Almost - it's hard to see through and not really transparent at all.It does protect the stove top. It is exactly the size it says it is. My cooktop is a little bigger, so it's a good idea to measure.If this melts, you don't have an induction cooktop. Just because a cooktop is glass doesn't mean it's an induction cooktop. If you don't take magnets with you when you buy pots and pans, you probably don't have an induction cooktop. If your cooktop is turned on and can hot without a pan on it, you do not have an induction cooktop. If you can't put a piece of plastic on your burner and turn on the burner without melting the plastic, you don't have an induction cooktop.

It really works. You can cook with it on the cooktop. You can see the areas where the heating elements are. I cut mine in the front to reveal the touch controls, but the rest of the mat covers the entire cooktop. No worries about scratching the cooktop. Easy to wipe clean. Great purchase.

Very hard to use the stove top with it. Can’t see the burners along with takes longer to heat up and spreads the heat over the whole mat

This is the 2nd one I've ordered, the 1st one didnt covee completely and it started to peel. I like this one because it actually covers the whole stove top.The one complaint is the attitude I received from the seller when I ask what the stickers were for. I certainly didn't want to use them wrong and ruin the mat. So I emailed the company and they reply was if I had watched the video I would know. Well, the video on the Amazon site didn't show it nor did it even show that the stickers were part of the package . I even tried to find in on YouTube with no luck. So with their reply they added a video.

We knew from other reviews that it would be difficult to see the controls through, and it is. We bought it anyway because we wanted to have a usable, heat tolerant matt to protect our (to us) rather expensive induction top investment. This one was big enough and had the functionality we desire in spite of its limited opacity. There are times that my unit's sensors don't like a certain pot in a specific spot, but the stovetop trained us well and it works fine. To the manufacturer, package it in a roll rather than folding it. The folds take a long time to work themselves out.

Item was thicker than expected with very little translucency. Had to cut out a section so that I could see the dials and had to use the decals to identify cooking positionsIt is also a little short for a 36" wide cooktop.On the plus side, it does hold it's position on the cooktop

So many of the reviews were not positive but I have had this 2 months and it is awesome. I have it on the stove continuously and as someone who seems to be able to scratch every ceramic cook top he ha owned, this is a godsend. I had to cut it to size. The only real issue is it is difficult to see thru it to know where your pan should go. That said, I had worked well and it is also makes the stove an additional workspace for the kitchen. Had it for 2 months (cooking daily) and it works as advertised on induction stove.

It covers our new Bosch cooktop perfectly and protects the surface from inevitable boil overs and splatters. I don’t move it for cooking—I just put the pot directly on it for cooking. It is hard to see the cooktop lines underneath-I can adjust the pot positioning by checking the simmer or boil pattern of the pot’s contents. I used a gold sharpie to mark some basic landmarks and use the stickers to mark my "favorite" burner. It washes easily in the sink-I always make sure that it dries completely before I return it to the cooktop. It mimics the black cooktop itself so it isn’t a jarring sight in the kitchen. I knocked a glass over on top of it-and it definitely protected the cooktop surface. I am considering buying a second one to have on hand

Ich frittieren gerne und finde ich diese Mette gut: den Herd bleibt sauber und der Matte waschen ist sehr schnell und praktisch!

Pour cuire avec ma plaque à induction sans la salir ni la rayer.C'est le deuxième que j'achète car j'ai laissé brûler le premier !Mais celui-ci est mois épais que le premier, je ne sais pas s'il sera aussi solide. Je verrai à l'usage.

Lässt sich sehr leicht auflegen und haftet gut. Ob das Gargut schneller gar wird, kann ich (ohne Zeitmessung) nicht beurteilen.Für mich war vor allem wichtig, dass die Herdoberfläche geschützt wird und sauber bleibt.Bin äußerst zufrieden.

We've tried kinds of pads but this for us is the best.Easy to cut to size and good performance.It doesn't shift or slide on the glass but these properties also apply to your pots and pans so you won't be able to slide your pans around.
