Can this be personalised

Hi Sorry I don't think so, It's ceramic & glass

Is the globe made from glass

I believe it is made from glass. To be honest when it came I made sure it wasn't broke then wrapped it up for Christmas.

Is it suitable for my 1yr old grandson to shake for himself? i.e.weight and size

Yes he will definately be able to lift and shake (its just small) however it is breakable (glass globe) so would not really recommend for a 1 yr old unless supervised.
