Raised the tank temp from 21 to 25 in less than a hour (60 litre) very efficient heater. On my tariff uses about 20p a day in UK summer time. Suction power isnt great you may have to push the suckers once a fortnight or so

Having kept tropical fish for many a year now I'm always looking to replace old equipment, especially heaters. This heater has replaced a very old 100-watt Tronic heater that has been very reliable for many years now but needs replacing due to the cable becoming hard.First I was surprised how small the actual heater is compared to a regular 100-watt heater, it is probably 2/3rds the length of the old tronic heater and looks fairly well made, it also has two very strong suction cups attached to it, these can also be replaced, This heater has a small control that is separate from the heater, this control has a small red LED display for tank temperature and also the set temperature is displayed when being set, the setting is easy using the plus or minus buttons and probably the most useful feature is the set temperature is memorized so if the power is interrupted the heater will still be set when power is restored. There are also LEDs for the heater on and heater off, red and green respectively.This heater also comes with plenty of cable, around 1.5metres, from the heater to the controller, the only downside is the cable from the heater is fairly thick compared to the usual 2 cores, I'm presuming because the controller is separate there are signal cables as well as mains power to the heater within the cable. The cable from the controller to the plug is around 1 meter.I've found that this heater seems to be a little inaccurate, it's only around 0.8c so not drastic but it is worth mentioning.So, the pluses are, that the heater itself is compact so ideal for tight spaces, the control shows the current tank temp and stores the set temp, a heater on/off LED, and lots of cable for installation.Minuses are, slightly inaccurate (0.8c high), lots of cables to hide, the controller is NOT waterproof so must be kept away from the tank.Overall, it's early days I know but this heater seems OK and hopefully will prove reliable in the years to come.

I've had this up and running for some weeks now and everything works fine. Really like the digital display.

Bought this heater to replace one from another brand that didn't perform well and so far it's working great. Keeps the water at the right temperature without much fluctuations

This heater works straight from the box and is very intuitive. Simple controls and easy to read temperature guage.

Great woks well give the right temperature i have a digital thermometer in my tank to make sure the thermometer on the heater works there both say the same temperature really happy with this work well

Worked for 6 days then fault code HH and no heat or much reduced heat. When first setup, the heater LED temperature matched the tank thermometer, but now after less than a week it is approximately 6 degrees C difference and keeps getting error code HH. Checked our tank thermometer in other tanks we have and checked fine. Therefore we cannot recommend this fish tank heater due to very poor reliability.

My heater for my Oscar aquarium died so I needed another quick so the water does not go cold. I went to Pet value first and they only had one kind of heater and the price was way to much.So I went to Amazon and found this one. I was worried because the price seemed low for a good heater, but I thought I would take my chance.This heater is nice and convenient and holds the temperature exactly where I set it.The price was really good and the heater works really well. I would definitely recommend this heater.

So when it comes to heaters for aquariums, finding a quality one these days is always a challenge. Even more so when you're looking for something small that can do the job. As I've used Nicrew lights for the past 5 years in my fishroom, I figured I'd give their little heater a shot.I initially purchased one of these for a mini paludarium and tested it for a month prior to commiting to tucking it in it's final location. The heater itself does a wonderful job. Remember, it's only a 50W so it is limited to the overall volume of water it can heat. On top of that, it's a mini/micro heater, so the surface area of the heater isn't ideal if you need to heat up a tank up quickly. That said, the heater does a great job of holding temps for the 5 gallons of water in my paludarium and it's nice to be able to see the digital read out of the settings rather than be stuck to fiddling with dial based heaters.If you're looking to heat a small aquarium (I would say 7 gallons or less) I would highly recommend this heater. It's small enough to not be an eye sore and the external controls are a great included feature.

I have only had this heater for a few month but it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. Super easy to use, holds temperature well, seems to be high quality. I am becoming a big fan of Nicrew products. My favorite part is that the heater element blends into the background well and doesn’t always have a light on in the tank.

This heater works pretty well. I’ve noticed that the temperature is off by about 2 degrees (I have it set for 79 but it’s only about 77), but as long as you adjust it for this, it’s been working wonderfully and keeping the tank consistently the same temperature.

The heater is working better than I expected.
