If you have a MacBook, seriously, don't buy this. I used it to link my MacBook 12 inch to a Samsung monitor and it flickered and cut out constantly. Called Apple who tried to get me to do numerous things to fix it - but it ended up damaging my software and I had to re install my whole operating system. Went to the Apple Store and they showed me the Apple approved HDMI converter, which had no problems at all with a clear picture and link up to the monitor, and said that the small operating system in this converter is not compatible and can damage your laptop. So if you value your £1000 plus laptop, don't skimp on this because it caused me not only an hour on the phone but a journey to the Apple store and 4 hours to completely reset my laptop system. Not worth it!!!!

I'll explain why I put 5-star later. I notice this was one of the cheapest available and had brilliant reviews and despite no mention on whether it works with Nintendo Switch, I thought I would give it ago and can always send it back and try something else. It's for my Son who's been doing nothing, but playing on his new console, but also sometimes wants to play on his own TV and you have to use the dock for playing on the big screen. It's no different to unplugging a device from the TV and connecting it to another, but something like this would be hugely convenient so he can just take the console upstairs and connect it to this device to make it much easier. I can say that unfortunately It does not work with the Nintendo Switch. The TV keeps showing on the screen that it's connected to the TV, but the TV stays blank and still shows on the console screen. It's a shame, but I knew that it was a risk not knowing if it would anyway. I saw that nobody else has tried it and thought well might as well for incase other people think the same

The HDMI has stopped working. The other ports work fine, but the HDMI worked for about 4 hours of work then stopped. Connecting to a MacBook Pro 13inch non touch bar 2017.

It's a good bit of kit for a good price. The connector and sockets are a tiny bit 'scratchy', but that's being really picky and I guess Apple connectors are just that much more expensive. It works really well though, no issues with charging my laptop and phone simultaneously at all. For the price, great.

HDMI port doe not work - tried to use it to connect my Samsung TV to my new mac book and it doesn't work at all. Bought an original apple one and it does work perfectly fine. Now trying to return it but seller hasn't responded yet. 20 pound train in the bin, spend more and avoid bad quality adaptors, as this will end up being cheaper in the end.

Purchased this for my Lenovo tablet/workbook which just had a single USB-C port for charging and connecting to any external display. Bought this after searching a while and could not be happier with the purchase. It was instantly recognised by the Windows version and worked out of the box. Its small size makes it pretty compact in the desk area. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to connect to a display and power charging their device at the same time through a USB-C port

I use this every working day, and most working days I have to disconnect and reconnect it before it works. Once it's in, it's fine. Connection also feels a little more loose compared to the official adapter but that's expected. For the price it's still reasonable despite the focusing on the flaws in this review.

The item DOES NOT WORK. The screen keeps blinking and when it's showing the image is not clear. Take a look at my video to get an idea.
