I’ve been using this charger for a few weeks now with my daughter’s Switch and it’s been dependable every time. It charges the console from low to full in about 2.5 hours, which is right on par with the original Nintendo charger, and the 5ft cord gives enough reach to plug in without stretching across the room. We tested it in TV mode multiple times and the console plays smooth with no drops in image quality or lag compared to the OEM charger. I also tried it briefly on a Steam Deck and it powered that up fine too, which was a nice bonus. Build quality feels solid in the hand. The block isn’t overly bulky and it doesn’t get hot while charging, just slightly warm which is normal. The cord itself is a little stiffer than Nintendo’s but not flimsy, and the connection clicks in firmly so there’s no wobble. Overall it feels well made and reliable. For me this is an easy 5 star because it works across devices, charges at full speed, and supports TV mode just like the original.

Works great for everything except for the switch I bought it for however I'm believing that it's a charging chip issue vs a charger issue but seems like great value and high quality for sure would definitely purchase again

Very compatible, I used on my switch and another one of my electronics and it worked extremely well. The feel of snapping the charger in place right after unboxing was really nice.

Got this and only had for 2 months and now won’t charge my switch at all- I have tried different outlets and it will not work. So disappointed- considering I picked one from Nintendo! Now past return date so waste of my $$

This works exactly the same as the original charger that came with a new Switch. That said, be sure to perform a restart (COMPLETELY powered off) on your switch and charging dock BEFORE buying this because you may not need it. Instructions are online, but here’s what to do. Unplug the charger from the wall and the dock or Switch. Hold the Power button on the Switch for 20 seconds to completely shut it off. Leave the Switch off and the charging cable unplugged from everything for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes, plug the charger into the Switch and notice if the charging icon appears (the lightning bolt). If so, then the Switch has restarted and will take a charge again. If the Switch does not charge after this restart, you may need to buy this cable. Also, if you use a dock, leave the dock unplugged from everything for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, plug the cables back into the dock and place the Switch back in the dock and notice if the charging icon appears. If it doesn’t, you may need a new dock.

This charger works so well to charge my Apple computer for a fraction of the cost. It charges my phone so fast!
