This camera is amazingly good on the resolution, but the install directions were not very good! Their little booklet was very skimpy on the actual programming, but after reviewing several YouTube videos on the installation and programming for this camera made it simple and clear! Thanks to those YouTube guys on making the Eufy camera Installation and programming videos! Eufy has several options when downloading their app on Google Store, which I selected the wrong one as they wanted a monthly fee. I found their other online app which is FREE, which is the one you want! Once I installed the FREE app, programming was a breeze after watching the YouTube video. LIke other reviews, the S340 camera detects people very well. They provide many programming options which is more than I expected for the cost of $100! Plus they must have increased the zoom capabilities from 3X to 8X, which is a nice touch! I mounted the camera on my porch which covers a wide area and my neighbors too. Mounting was simple and easy. I separated the solar panel from the camera due to the limited sun as I'm facing east from my townhome. So I will see pointing the solar panel towards the south makes a difference! Their specs indicated one charge would last several months, which depends on the recording time or live viewing and amount of activity. I had some problems with connecting to my Comcast WiFi router since it's located on the second floor in my office. I was concerned with connecting it, but discovered the camera was trying to connect to the wrong WiFi band. After connecting to the correct 2.5 Ghz band, it worked very well! Since I live in Colorado, I was concerned about the winter weather and if this camera could endure the harsh cold and winter weather outside. They didn't list any temperature specs, but indicated the typical solar panel would endure freezing or hot temps from -5 to +120 degrees F. I mounted the camera under the porch's roof easement, so it would not be prone to any snow or rain, but mounted the solar panel for best viewing of the sun during the morning hours. Although this hasn't been tested very long, it seems to be an excellent outdoor security camera for the price!

This is the second security camera I've purchased, and it's a significant upgrade! My first experience was with a Blink camera, which was a decent entry-level option, but the monthly fees were a downside. What I immediately loved about this camera is that it doesn't require any monthly subscription. I've always been intrigued by 360 cameras but wasn't sure which one to choose. When this one popped up as a Black Friday deal, I jumped at the chance, and I'm so glad I did. The installation was straightforward, with easy-to-follow instructions. It connects to Wi-Fi effortlessly, making setup a breeze. I had it professionally mounted on the side of my house, and the image quality is excellent. The audio is also clear, making it a high-quality camera overall. The fact that there's no mandatory monthly fee is a huge plus, though there's an option to upgrade if desired. Video storage is handled locally on the camera. It's important to note that motion detection recordings, such as people approaching or cars stopping by, are automatically deleted after 24 hours. While you can purchase additional storage if you need to keep videos longer, I personally find the 24-hour storage sufficient for my needs. I'm comfortable with the videos disappearing unless there's a specific recording I want to save or download. For those seeking a simple, reliable camera to monitor their front door or home, I highly recommend this one. The solar panel feature is a game-changer. No need to worry about changing batteries or complicated wiring, as it charges itself continuously.

This is our second S340 camera and both work great. We have five Eufy cameras overall and all of them work well. They’re easy to setup and sync easily with our iPhones and Eufy app. They automatically sought out and connected to the Wi-Fi signal. The outside cameras and solar panels have withstood the weather so far, both rain and intense sun. So far, only good things to say about them.

These cameras are pretty good. Good clarity, good tracking, not too sensitive or lacking sensitivity. Picks up wildlife around my property when I have animal detection turned on. Human tracking is ideal. I do recommend following the installation instructions and mount the camera(s) so they detect at an angle. Head on monitoring doesn't always pick up a person approaching the house. Easy setup and if you need a larger amount of storage, purchase the Home Base. Battery life is good. The solar panels recharge the batteries well. The only downfall I have found is that when viewing Live View, there is an annoying pop-up every couple of minutes causing you to either keep live view going or cancel live viewing. I rely heavily on live view and I monitor my battery level so I don't need a pop-up that cancels the live view if you don't choose to continue it. I have sent a suggestion to the manufacturer explaining my issue. I think (I'm no pro at how this all works) it may just be a programming change in software (app). We'll see. Anyway, aside from that, I would recommend the to someone looking for good PTZ, solar charged security cameras.

Me encanta esta cámara además que la batería dura mucho con el panel solar. Solo que se necesita la Homebase 3 para que funcione al 100%. La calidad es increíble y más del telefoto la tengo instalada a 5 metros y se ven perfectamente las placas y caras de las personas.

I’ve been using Eufy security products for a while now — including the HomeBase hub and several cameras — and they’ve all been outstanding. The S340 fits perfectly into that lineup and continues Eufy’s track record of quality, reliability, and thoughtful design. Setup was quick and seamless through the Eufy Security app, especially since I already had the HomeBase hub integrated. The picture quality is excellent, both day and night. The dual lenses really make a difference, providing a clear, detailed view of wide areas without losing close-up clarity. Motion tracking is smooth and responsive, and I appreciate that everything runs locally for privacy and faster response times. Battery life has been solid so far, and the solar charging feature is a huge bonus — I haven’t had to worry about recharging at all. Notifications are quick, and the AI detection seems accurate, filtering out most false alerts. If you already have other Eufy devices, this is a perfect upgrade or addition. And if you’re just starting out, this camera shows exactly why Eufy products are so highly rated — dependable, easy to use, and built to last. P.S. the bonus solar panel included with the purchase was a welcomed treat! Certainly cements my position and confidence in the eufy product line

Poor quality product and doesnt work as advertised. Extreme disappointment for winter usage. I am planning to return and hopefully the seller would refund, unlike last time!

Achei bem fácil de instalar. O app orienta onde e como deixar as câmeras para melhor funcionamento. A qualidade da imagem é muito boa, tanto no modo normal quanto noturno. Há muitas configurações para adequar ao uso de cada um. A câmera segue a pessoa e inclusive combina gravação com as demais câmeras do conjunto, fazendo recortes e gravando 1 único vídeo de várias câmeras juntas. Tem opção de áudio em dois canais e funciona perfeitamente. Excelente produto!
