Finally Using My Full 2Gb Fiber
Easy Upgrade That Finally Lets My Internet Stretch Its Legs This was one of those upgrades where I immediately wondered why I didn’t do it sooner. Installation was super easy — popped the card into a PCIe slot, installed the driver, and my desktop was up and running in minutes. No BIOS headaches, no weird troubleshooting. It was basically plug-and-play. The big win here is speed. I have 2-gig fiber at home, and this adapter finally lets my desktop take advantage of it. Speeds are noticeably faster, and local file transfers are lightning quick compared to standard gigabit Ethernet. Connection has been rock solid so far with no dropouts, and it runs cool and quiet in my system. If you’re still bottlenecked by a 1Gb network port and you’ve got faster internet (or do a lot of large file transfers on your local network), this is a no-brainer upgrade. Simple install, real performance boost, zero regrets. Highly recommend.

Fast and necessary for broadband greater than 1G (just ensure your switch is 2.5G or greater)!
If you have a hard wired network at home and are using CAT5E or greater network cables and are still using a gigabit ethernet card, it might be time to upgrade to 2.5G especially if you have greater than 1G broadband. This card does 2.5G transfers flawlessly and is a simple plug and play PCI-E card. Windows 11 instantly recognizes it without the need to install any drivers. It does come with a small format CD to install drivers for older systems that don't recognize it. My simple test is always running the usual gigabit ethernet card (built into the motherboard on most PC's) and checking the bandwidth (I have 1200 Mbps download connectivity although it gives me a little more). Without a 2.5 Gbps ethernet card I would always get less than 1G downloads (see my speed test results, I only got 700 Mbps download). Install the 2.5G card and ensure you match it with a at least 2.5G network switch otherwise you'll defeat the upgrade and I get over my 1200 Mbps download speed (closer to 1300 Mbps). It works excellent. Transferring files back and forth between my PC's on my home network is speedy now. Your drives have to be fast otherwise the drives will be the bottleneck, but , transferring between two M.2 drives that can handle over 2.5G gives blazing fast results. For the price and quality of this 2.5G card, it's worth every penny!

Fast, Reliable, and Future-Proof – Excellent Network Upgrade!
I recently upgraded my PC with the BrosTrend 2.5Gb PCIe Network Adapter, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I installed it, the difference in speed and stability was clear. Setup was quick and easy—Windows 10 recognized the card immediately and installed the necessary drivers without any issues. The jump from standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet to 2.5Gbps has been a game-changer for transferring large files across my home NAS and streaming 4K content with zero buffering. The included low-profile bracket was a great bonus for fitting into my compact build, and the build quality of the card itself feels solid and premium. The fact that it comes with limited lifetime protection is just the cherry on top—it’s clear the company stands by their product. If you're looking to future-proof your network setup or simply want faster and more stable wired performance, this card is an outstanding value. Highly recommended!

Great value. No screw included :-(
Works well. Great value. It came with a CD for the drivers, and I have not used one in 10 years. ideally they could use a cheap small thumb drive instead. more useful. I'm giving it 4 stars because they didn't include a screw to tighten after installation. Of all things. I had to go screw hunting all over my house. Other than that, it's a great find for the price.

This card completely fixed my Internet connection
My built-in Internet port on my motherboard, started having issues and wasn’t stable. It would connect and then disconnect and took sometimes a while for a page to populate. I thought it may be a driver issue so I deinstalled all the drivers and reinstalled the newest drivers still at the same issue. Also, I thought it may have something to do with the bios so I even did a bio update, the issue did not go away. I decided to buy a plug in adapter to see if that would fix the issue and it did this adapter is plug & Play, I just shut off my computer plug it into an open slot in my motherboard, turn it back on plugged in my lan cable and the issue disappeared. This adapter was the best one for me because I didn’t need a Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi on the motherboard was still working fine and I was using that instead of directly connecting it to my Home lan system. I really like the hard link connection to my computer better than Wi-Fi. It seems to more stable and more dependable. If you have this issue with your motherboard, try this adapter. They also have adapters with Wi-Fi if you need that.
