My 3 year old son absolutely LOVED this advent calendar! My 1 year old daughter wanted to be included as well but I felt she was too little but she actually was able to push out some of the slots so i will get her one for next year!

My kids enjoy opening advent calendar and finding new little treasures each day

The advent calendar has a nice mix of rough and polished minerals, two being part of jewelry. While the box indicates that there is some variation in contents, it's a little silly that for having 24 slots and 24 possible types of content, it's still possible to end up with a duplicate instead of every flap having a unique thing under it. We got two obsidian and no lemon topaz. We also got what might have been identified as rainbow fluorite but appears to be amethyst. We do appreciate the inclusion of a soft bag and the magnifying glass.The mineral pieces are on the small side, so this set is best for people who fully understand not to put random things in their mouths or noses. While advent calendars are generally connected with Christmas, I like that this set, which isn't specifically winter or religious themed, doesn't scream Christmas, so it can be enjoyed at other times of the year.

I like that this advent calendar is an alternative to candy or cheap, throwaway toys. However, many of the pieces are very small. This set is not quite as high quality as others I have purchased.

Perfect adventure for the price.

Ordered this for my 12 year old daughter who is into crystal formations and rocks. We are only about 5 days into Advent and I am loving this- truly impressed with the variety. She looks forward to opening her surprise every morning and then identifying it with the guide provided on the box cover. She has a necklace, bracelet, lose crystals and the velvet bag and magnifying glass that came on day 2. The stones on the bracelet had to be strung in the thin elastic thread (very similar to fishing wire). It wasn’t hard to do, but it can be harder for younger users, where parents or adults may need to assist them. Not a big deal for us; actually kept her entertained. I can’t wait to see her reactiona as she opens the tab on the remaining days. Maybe I am loving it more than her? LOL This advent calendar has surpassed my expectations! Highly recommend!

The rock fanatic would love this. It was high quality which included a amethyst necklace . Everyday was a pleasant surprise and learning opportunity. Would buy again. Worth the money.

I was looking for an alternative to a candy that calendar. My daughter absolutely loves crystals and gems so I purchased this for her. She was so excited when we opened the package she may not have waited for December 1st to open it.

Love this idea! So many calendars are chocolate. We love opening and seeing what surprise we get each day!
