Bought this to allow the exhaust to exit my generator shack due to heat and lack of fresh air . Generator wouldn't run closed up. After the exhaust Kit and a fan operated vent system. It runs well now. Kit is well made and includes all parts necessary for most instalations. Be aware that it is Not Quiet! Sounds like glass pack. Your neighbors probably won't like it, but you might smile.

Pros: The unit actually made my 5000 W Briggs and Stranton Generator 5dB quieter when used inline with the stock muffler. It also lowered the tone of the exhaust noise which is easier on the ears. Enclosing the entire stock generator in the box with no exhaust outlet other than the 1000 CFM exhaust/cooling fan reduced the noise 10 dB, from 90 db to 80 db (the fan kept the temps in a good operating range). The silencer kit quieted it an additional 5 dB and cooled the box further by moving the exhaust gasses exit the box directly. We are now running at about 75dB which is normal conversation levels or an average radio volume. The original stock generator outside of the sound box had a noise level of 90 db which is like being next to a busy highway where you must raise your voice to talk to have someone hear you. Cons: Was not easy to install and required some hole drilling and grinding for it to fit onto my generator. The instructions were poor to non-existent. The flexible exhaust made large diameter bends; I would have liked a little tighter bend.

I have a duel fuel generator in my shed in the yard. My power goes out to the shed from the house using a #6 wire. ( I previously had a pool filter which was supplied by power from the shed) I'm using the only connection to the house to run power from the generator back to the house. The issue was CO build up in the shed which would shut down the generator. Alas!!!! Along comes Zombie Box with a external exhaust tube to connect and run exhaust out of the shed; brilliant! (wish I had thought of it!) I order the muffler kit, which arrived as advertised, and hooked it up. (See photos) The muffler doesn't get too hot on the outside so it's really safe. I was worried because I have a grand daughter who could come in contact if she was over here and it was running. Also worried about CO but the exhaust tube works great. I added muffler sealer paste and two layers of Tiger Tape muffler sealer. I close the shed, run the unit and no CO build up. This is great for keeping my generator out of the weather and protected from the elements. No more moving it around!

Super easy to install and custom fit to my generator setup. I did end up "corking" the exhaust port while not in use. I was worried rain might get in. In my head I thought it would reduce the noise more, but generators are so loud muffled or not. With this you will only bother your next door neighbor. Not the whole block.

Bought this for a Westinghouse 10500TFc Generator. After removing the spark arrestor, The exhaust adapter worked ok but you do need some high temp RTV gasket maker, bought some with a temp rating of 750 degrees and so far it fixed the small exhaust leak between the adapter and the muffler. The muffler, suppressor or baffle or what ever it is called that comes with the zombie box does not help hardly at all with reducing the sound and the flexible metal hose that comes with it is a bit short and does limit options for where the Generator can be placed, if this flexible metal hose was another 2 feet longer or even two of them with an adapter to connect them together would be good. The Westinghouse 10500TFc Generator is loud and was hoping the zombie box would have make it a bit quieter. The Generator is in a shed made from 1/2 - -3/4 inch plywood and is insulated for sound (Walls, and ceiling) and still it is loud. Overall it works well as an exhaust diverter but as something that keeps the noise down, not so much.

These sports doesn't even fit the exhaust pipe on my generator. I would have to prefab everything for it to work. It's a waste of my money.

The fit is good, but it doesn’t come with any hose clamps to secure the shield to the muffler which is annoying. There should be a method of attachment for that. Also the way the exhaust pipe adapters are made they have an interior seem that you must grind away if you need to fit it over any of the existing exhaust pipe. Otherwise fit and finish is good. We will see how it holds up to the heat and the noise level.

Product was perfect for what I needed. It extended the exhaust from our back-up generator and reduced overall noise level. Great product, easy to install, instructions were adequate.

No gaskets supplied for either of the exhaust adapters. Muffler moves in the bracket unless you use a band clamp (not included).

Left the spark arrester on as it made a better flush fit. Put my exhaust out through the floor of my shed and got another pc of extension from Canadian tire to place on the end and point out the shed bottom. Have fired it up a few times and it sounds good and looks like it will stay together.
