This is by far the best textbook I've ever had and the only one I plan to reference after the course is over.

The book was what I needed for class. It wasn't in the best condition but it was fine for what I needed it for.

This textbook provides every detailed information I need to assist me with my class. I know now that I will pass this course with flying colors. Thank you.

Getting the kindle edition is most likely a bad idea. If you are a student who needs access to the online resources, this is a terrible idea. The paperback edition purchase comes with an access code to these materials, while for some odd reason the online one does not. This seems odd, considering the fact that purchasing the kindle edition means you should also have access to the same materials that someone who purchases the paperback edition does. This is a terrible purchase for anyone who needs this book for a class, do not get it!!

I was able to rent this book and I can send it back at the end of the semester so I don't have to store a book I won't ever use again.

This is a dry, dry read. Hard to get through the small chapters, and the organization is a bit lacking. Pages are too busy. The "critical thinking" tidbits are the best part. Review questions are strange, and the only way to get the answers is online, one chapter at a time. Wish it was easier to study from!

It reads like stereo instructions written by a bureaucratic committee. Unfortunately securing a A in the class actually necessitated reading the foul thing, or at least lengthy selections from it. It is droning, dry, and unnecessarily verbose. It also takes a pro-management view of nursing in negotiations, taking the position that the nurses are labor, and the reader is management. That's a difficult position for nursing students in their senior year to take. My advice, then, to any student whose professor uses this book is to ask prior students how important the text is to the exams, and pass on it if at all possible.
