Works as both an alarm and as a non-alarmed padlock simply by reversing the locking mechanism. Came with batteries installed ready to go AND with a set of extra batteries. Batteries can't be removed without unlocking it first. Padlock is strong as balls and distinctly heavy, the warning alarm is subtle but ends quick, giving you just enough time to remember you're about to be deafened as the actual alarm is ear drum poundingly brutal. Highly recommended.

Appears to be very well made with quality materials. The alarm feature should prove to be an extra deterrent to would-be thieves. Spare batteries supplied are a thoughtful touch. It remains to be seen how resistant to attack from bolt cutters this lock proves to be.

very good lock unfortunately the first one stopped working within a year. The replacement lock (free of charge) stopped working within 12 months. I had to cut it off with an angle grinder as it failed to open.

Initially a very good product, would be difficult to break open with bolt cutters, alarm is a decent volume etc. We used it to lock our shed, so it's been used for it's primary purpose, however after 18 months the lock rusted and is now unusable which considering the cost and company's claims is appalling. Contacted the manufacturer and have so far been ignored.

A well made heavy duty lock, seems to be very secure. Instructions on setting the alarm to activate appear to be incorrect as when I push in the shackle with the grooved arm nearest the Start label, it doesn't beep. However, it works fine if I insert it the other way around. Not a problem as I always check for the beep and you certainly can't miss that! It is very loud.

For piece of mind this acts as a good padlock. Unfortunately the alarm is too quiet. A farting cat is louder. Additionally, the alarm only sounds for about thirty seconds. I don't believe this would deter anything but the most nervous burglar. Too expensive for what it is.

Excellent quality weatherproof bike lock to deter and delay would be bike thieves. Works like any other heavy duty shackle, but with the added advantage of a piercing alarm if moved. Comes with pre-fitted batteries and a sheet of spares. Shackle can be used with or without alarm simply by inserting the clasp the opposite way. Definitely recommend.

This seems like a well made and robust lock. I have used it today on a security post at the end of my drive. On first use, it works as described and siren worked when I shook the erected post slightly. Time will tell in terms of its durability when left outside, and I would have given it five stars if not for a couple of moulding imperfections on the surface of the lock body.
