This is the first time i have used this particular type of connector. The instructions are very limited and don't explain exactly which way the terminals go into the housing. I experimented with one by inserting a terminal into a housing before attaching a wire, assuming I could take it back out after I knew how it worked. Nope. Once you insert the terminal into the housing, you will destroy the housing trying to get it back out. Had to order a new set. The solder connections are excellent. you orient the terminal with the wire hole up, insert the wire and fill the terminal hole with solder. You will need to devise some way to keep the wire in the terminal while you solder it.....it's not a crimp. There are soft rubber seals that you must install on the wire before soldering it to the terminal. On the first one I forgot to do that and had to cut the seal open in order to get it over the wire. However, they fit very tightly and that worked just fine. The housing is labeled + and - so you can't plug it wrong assuming you have inserted the terminals correctly observing polarity. You can also mount these connectors if you so desire. They come with boots to cover the housing when not connected. The only down side of these is that they are relatively large and bulky for inline connectors. Good product at a good price.
