One of My Favorite Tools in the Shop – Unbeatable Value! I absolutely love my HOTLIGH Rechargeable Work Light. I’ve purchased them because they offer incredible value for the price. The battery life is fantastic, allowing for extended use without frequent recharging. The magnetic base is exceptionally strong, providing secure attachment to metal surfaces, which is a huge plus for hands-free operation. The light is impressively bright, illuminating work areas effectively. Charging is quick and convenient, ensuring the light is ready for use when needed. As an "in emergency" flash light they are great. As work lights, which is why I purchased them, not so much.. 1. They're not as bright as one might think, though certainly sufficient for an emergency or wide open spaces. 2. They die relatively quickly, may 10-15 minutes before you notice them significantly dimmer. 3. The magnets are good in some situations but if you need them to hang upside down they drop with very little movement. They are great standing upright and with a solid piece of metal to stick to but upside down off an exhaust or something you will spend more time bending down to get them than actually turning bolts. That said, they are actually pretty durable--I drop these from 3 - 6 feet heights regularly and they keep on chugging along.

Pretty good quality for the price. Brightness had 2 levels. I had hoped the brightest level would be a little brighter, but if you are just using for close up work they will be fine. Very lightweight. Magnet is strong enough to hold its on wait, fully opened up, without any issues.

I work on cars for a living and let me tell you, I put these through the toughest times. I bought a 2 pack 4 years ago and the 2nd one finally went out on me last week. Not by fault of the light, but because I lost my cool and slammed the light on the ground. It broke into 30 pieces, and no joke, it still worked. Ive dropped these in coolant, oil, heat and cold temps, and they just keep working. Couldn't help but order 2 more. The brightness isn't as bright as a lot of others but its certainly plenty bright. Battery life goes for hours and hours. It has multiple light output settings to choose from. The folding hinge is stiff and holds the light exactly where you put it. Even after 4 years with my previous ones the hinge stayed tight. The magnet on the bottom is strong enough to hold the light anywhere or any direction you put it. These are worth the money!

As many of the positive reviewers have stated these are handy little lights and put out quite a bit of light. The magnetic base is nice, but pretty much useless on my Range Rover as everything in the engine compartment is plastic or aluminum. The hooks are pretty handy. Now let me cut straight to the chase on what I do not like. First in a minor gripe but one all the same. After you turn on the light you have to toggle through the remaining two settings before it shuts off. Issue for me is the third setting is the little pin light that you really can't see unless you look at the end of the light. You could conceivably toggle to this setting and think it is off and then your battery runs down. I have done this twice. Next is the life, charge a little more and put a bigger battery in .... please. Last and my biggest complaint is charging them. They are very persnickety are to what type of charger you can use. Any sort of higher output charger will not work and even the medium amp models don't work either. So far, the only thing I have that will charge these ding-dang things are the built in USB outlets on my household 110 outlets that I installed in the kitchen and the bedroom, and one obsolete LG power brick. If you are going to make these things voltage/amp specific, then supply the power supply! Jeez
