I'm so sad.😢. This book 📖 was really good but it was so horribly sad.😢. Come on, Joseph Delaney!😠 You need to brighten up a bit.😆 We can't have characters dying💔 all over the place! It's just not good for branding🌍. If a fan ever made a Spooks T-shirt👕 they'd probably write on it "Keep calm and forget about a really cool character dying just a few chapters ago!" I mean, come on, did you really have to kill of Jenny! that's just plain mean😤! But apart from all the DYING it was an awesome book.📖 This new series has been getting better and better. This was an epic way to finish it off. 😄😄😄

Bought this 2nd hand from a Library under the condition of "good" - it's in absolutely pristine condition. I have 15 of the 16 books and this was my final one to buy of the collection. I'm over the moon.

Loved it bit sad about Jenny though but still good read sad that it's the last one loved the spooks tales and all the others in the series just wish there was more of these ones great author love his books they may be for kids but don't let that stop you checking them out I hope he does some more of these ones sad to finish it but enjoyed it fantastic series will miss them badly great read if you haven't read any of them check them out they are really great books worth every penny in my honest opinion

Once again Joseph Delaney has written another great addition to the Spooks books. Whether he leaves the series here or carries on I don't mind because I think here is a good way to finish it but it would be nice to read more adventures. I would like to see a separate book on Grimalkin and her time in the dark because I think that would make a brilliant book. This is a great book and anyone who likes the Spooks series or anything to do with fantasy or adventure would love this book.

Though I am much older than the target audience of teens/young adults, I started reading the Spook's Apprentice after seeing 'The Seventh Son'. Although the movie was to my liking, I have found the series very enjoyable - seeing the growth of Thomas Ward and the other characters. Now with the conclusion of the Starblade Chronicles series I agree with other reviews that Mr. Delaney increased the pace of the book a little too much and there could have been some better character development. The author has mentioned that this may be the last of the books featuring Thomas Ward, Alice, Grimalkin and others(Hopefully not, Mr. Delaney). However he left the ending so it could transition to the next level if he decides to revisit the County. If this is in fact the last book of the Fighters of the Dark, I feel he concluded the run in a way that readers of the 16+ books will like.

Being reading Joseph Delaney's Spook series from getting hooked on the books at age 14 when I read the Spooks Apprentice to now when I've just turned 26 and reading Dark Assassin. Still enjoying them immensely always wanting more, I like how the books can be enjoyed by mature readers and younger readers alike with the darker narratives that don't cross the line into " Too Dark" but with an easy to read style.This book is definitely worth the read and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, keep up the amazing work Joseph.

bought all 3 books - The Starblade Chronicles, really glad i bought and will be reading alot more in the Spook's series. if you like these books you might like Battle Mage (An Epic Fantasy Adventure) by Peter Flannery and The Novice: Book 1 (Summoner) all the books are brilliant the summoner series by Taran Matharu, all excellent.

Right from the beginning we are plunged into a labyrinth of ideas that would have never crossed our minds. It's been a while since my hearts pounded, tears have fallen and I've spent a whole day reading and this book has finally FINALLY got me out of my reading slump!! Don't be put off by the price this is truly an amazing book/series. One can only hope that Delaney won't keep to his word and he'll write another!

E uma das melhores Saga de livros com tema de Sobrenatural, simplesmente magnifico!

L'auteur aurait vraiment dû s'arrêter après le xiv, on est vraiment sur la saga de trop qui n'a ni sens, ni intérêt et n'est clairement pas au niveau du reste. Déçue de les avoir lus.

Das Buch ist englisch geschrieben, allerdings einfach verständlich.Inhaltlich eine sehr gelungene Fortsetzung mit vielen Wendungen - ein typischer Delaney!

This is a very good book series in my perspective. I have read books 1&2 and I'm waiting for 3 to arrive

The dark assassin is an amazing book; a fitting conclusion to the saga. I loved it and heartily recommend the series.
