I'm making a low voltage 1 watt cigar box portable mini guitar amp. Think these will provide sufficient power?

They put out power equivalent to a regular 9v battery, but I've noticed they don't last as long. For example, in my smoke detectors (continuous low draw), their charge would be almost gone in a month vs 6-8 months. However, if you designed the battery compartment appropriately, you could set it up to just plug in to charge instead of removing the battery to charge... which might be cool.

Can these optionally be recharged using an appliance rather than the USB cable?
