Great buy. Great quality
It's lightweight, easy to put together, well built, comfortable to use and the saw is very sharp meaning it doesn't bounce on the branches it cuts straight away. My dad who's 79 and I have used this to take down very thick (up to 20 inch) branches at around 4m high from a neighbours eucalyptus tree that blocks out light from his garden. After taking down 18 branches so far the saw is still very sharp. My dad wishes he'd bought this years ago as it's so easy and quick to use and it's not heavy so it's doesn't tire you out.

Game changer!
Bought for my husband for Christmas. He has used it for the first time today and absolutely loves it! The rods screw in easily and at full length it is sturdy and strong. The saw blade is super sharp and has a hook either end to stop it slipping off the branch that’s being cut. He sawed through a bough about 5 inches thick and it went through with ease so will have no trouble cutting through larger branches/boughs. When fully extended to reach higher branches you will need some upper arm strength but that is to be expected. He is literally walking around the paddock looking for trees to prune! Great item, great quality and a really good price.

Surprisingly Good.
I am a professional user and I was sceptical when purchasing this item but have been pleasantly surprised with it's quality. I bought it specifically for it's modular handle. I find these to be easier and safer to use in restricted spaces (I use these whilst tree climbing quite often) than the often more expensive telescopic handles which even when fully collapsed are often around 2m long + the blade length. Having the ability to choose the overall length in increments of 50cm is very useful. The blade itself is good. it's stiffer than some and I prefer this. It's not spectacular but as long as it's used to cut green wood primarily, it should hold it's edge for a good while. What could make this better? A cover for the blade would be great. I'd happily pay more for that. As it is, I'll have to improvise one or keep it separate from the disassembled handle. I personally prefer a blade without the "hook" at the tip. I appreciate this has a use to stop the blade from pulling out of the cut but i find it frustrating in dense growth to get into position. A hook on the base of the blade would be better. When I say "hook" I'm using this to hang the whole tool in a nearby branch whilst I climb.. So.. a surprised four out of five for this baring in mind it's price.

Easy to Use and Expands Well
The Walensee pole saw for tree trimming has been really useful and surprisingly easy to use. The extendable pole works well and reaches high branches without needing a ladder, which makes the job much safer and easier. It expands smoothly up to the full length and still feels fairly lightweight, so it’s comfortable to handle while trimming branches. The saw itself is sharp enough to cut through smaller branches without too much effort. It’s been very handy for general garden maintenance and makes trimming trees much more manageable. Overall, a practical and well-designed tool that works exactly as expected.

Great value
Fantastic saw, great sharp blade. We have pretty much taken a whole tree down with this. Great value for money. Pole is very strong and comes in segments to easily adjust the length.

Seems well made. When I get to use it I’ll know a bit more.

Great pole saw
Brilliant at its job. Had a high hanging tree and hedges that this cut through with ease. Very sharp and remains sharp after many uses. It’s not heavy yet is firm and does not bend easy especially when cutting branches 2 meters above my head. Easy to assemble and lock extensions into place.

It works well...exercise caution as its so very sharp.
Absolutely razor sharp. Perfect for a short or long handle. Gloves essential as the blade is lethally sharp....I've mentioned that twice as when handling the saw I just knicked my finger...ouch.It wouldn't stop bleeding for such a small harmless cur!

I've had two big pine branches hanging over my deck and inhibiting reception on my TV antenna for a year. I saw this saw and decided it was worth a shot--got it out this morning and had all the pieces assembled in 15 minutes. I had those two limbs (3-4 inch diameter) down in 20 minutes--honest! And I'm over 70 years old. The saw blade was really sharp and the pole came in pieces that screwed together to make a 17' pole that was quite sturdy--nothing flimsy about it, yet light enough for this old lady to wield it...I've already got a neighbor wanting to borrow it! If I'd know how easy this saw was to use, and how cheap it was, I'd have gotten it a lot sooner! Highly recommended for taking out branches that are out of reach--no ladder necessary! And it was easy to store because the pole can be taken apart until next time I need it. I took photos of the branches that were trimmed--one is magnified so you can see the cuts and the other shows how high they were. I really recommend this saw for ease of use, ease of assembly, and quality!
