Works well and chops my garlic pretty efficiently. It's quite compact, so you can store it in your drawer fairly easily.

I purchased this for my Mother. She raved about it so much I just purchased 3 more. Chops lots of garlic quickly. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store and cute as heck!

Fun. All parts together in one cube. To open the bottom compartment, 1st remove the 2 plastic stickers. There are no instructions, no cleaning tool. There is no brush nor tool provided to help clean the plastic grater and lid (used to press the garlic thru the blades). I use a serated plastic knife to clean the grids - the rest is easily cleaned (careful of sharp blades). This tool cuts fast and easy. I thought the extra plastic grid was a mini rack. It is actually the "grater." I have not used the mini tube to remove the garlic skin yet. It seems too short but I'll try this and grater next use. I put the left over garlic in a small airtight spice jar, topped with olive oil, and refridgerate. That makes a great, handy, favorable topping on your favorite bread. I was UNNECESSARILY concerned the cube setting might be too big (I NEED my garlic to fully cook-raw burns and I find it undesirable). Every setting met my needs and preferences. Majes great garlic bread in an iron skillet or broil/bake in an oven. ♡♡♡♡

Easy to use

LOVE THIS! It has changed my life! Love garlic, and cook with it practically daily, but do not like all the time, and touching involved with fresh garlic, so lazily use the jar stuff, which is not as good as fresh, THIS little guy has made it FUN and FAST to use fresh garlic! Witout smelly fingers, smelly cutting board. The cup catches the minced or sliced garlic, which makes a handy holder ready for adding to cooking easily. Easy to clean ( i hand wash everything - dont like dishwasher's). Compact! The handy roller peeler that cames with is a game changer - never used one before, but those things rock! - Have since purchased a larger rolly peeler, just because the longer size is easier for me to manage.

I've been through several stages of garlic prep throughout my cooking life and this little guy is awesome! I originally started out with the standard stainless steel garlic press, like my mom uses. They're a pain to clean and there's always some garlic that doesn't get used. Then one year at the state fair, I was introduced to the ceramic garlic grater - what a great idea, that is, if you don't mind grating your knuckles when you get to the end of the garlic. And you get a lot of it on your hands. After switching back and forth between the tools, I eventually just started chopping garlic by hand, but once it again, it gets all over your hands. Since this little guy had some good reviews, I decided to try it. It's awesome. It uses all the garlic and does not leave anything on my hands! There's a bit left on the top press afterwards, but it all comes off when you remove what they call the smart cleaning blade. The pieces snap together very snugly and it seems like it's well made. The extra blade and garlic peeler snap into the bottom compartment, making it easy to keep all the pieces in the compact box. And the tiny bits that get stuck to the blade after use are easy to remove with a dish brush. For someone like me who uses garlic in about every other dish I cook, this is a great gadget.

I have used this item 3 times since I received it. Today was the third time. After I rushed one piece of garlic I noticed a bent blade. But I had already placed another piece of garlic and pressed. I then saw that the bent blade was in the crushed garlic. This is worthless and would like a refund. See pictures below. I had another one, not this brand that lasted years.

I owned the predecessor model of this item for several years, but recently I misplaced the grid that releases garlic captured in the "spikes" on the lid. I bought this current model as a replacement. The older model had a rounded container for the minced garlic, which made it very easy to scrape out the garlic. The current model minces garlic equally as well as the older model, but I would purchase a rounded container if HI offered one. If you have small fingers, the square container may not be a problem. I am a male and my fatter fingers simply won't dig out the minced garlic in the corners. I have to get a paring knife to dig out the garlic in the corners. Minor point: the lid on this current model latches every time you press down on the lid; the earlier model did not latch. It's a nuisance to unlatch the lid after every stroke.
