You would think that these things would last longer than 16-18 months. It is not like it is a high usage item. The mower only gets cranked 2-3 times a month... Anyway, it worked great at first, but now it will barely turn over the motor without struggling. Replaced the battery already and it is not that, so it must be the starter... Again! This is the 7th starter I have installed on this Kohler motor. I will not buy another Kohler, nothing but problems...

Thought it was a good value for the money but the shaft broke under normal usage just past warranty. Going to purchase a OEM, more money but hopefully will get longer life.

This replaces another starter I purchased on amazon. First one was a bust and company did not stand behind it. Worked a couple of times and then broke. So far, this one is working fine.

Have had issues since tractor was new cranked slow , bought bigger cca battery it helped some , dealer didn't do anything .the new starter spins it so much better

As soon as the return window closed, it starts making bad noise. Time to buy from a different supplier
