The difference is more than the shell. This product looks like the Ryobi P145 Lithium battery set. P122 contains Ryobi Lithium+ which are better batteries.

This question should be asked to ryobi directly. To answer your question it depends on how and what you use the battery with. Every scenario and tool is different on how it drains a battery a small led light can lady maybe a whole 24 hours but a 18v shop vac can empty it in maybe 15 minutes so every tool is different.
