HO Play Pad

We’ve used the swim pad for about 20 hours now and everyone loves it. Our kids love playing king of the pad. The pad is very buoyant. I’ve seen 8 kids on it at once. It can hold more. We’ve had two adults and two kids playing king of the pad. It is much better than the foam pads. It’s very easy to get on and off.I’ve had 5 people ask what it is and where I got it. People are really impressed with it.It pumps up in 2-4 minutes depending on how quickly you pump.So far no quality issues.

Bought this product recently (not on Amazon) and have used it three times while hanging out in a cove. Overall, it is a very good alternative to a foam pad that rolls up like a jelly roll, but be aware that this thing is very heavy and balky which is why I am giving it four stars. If it were a little easier to manage the weight as you are filling it and deflating it, it would easily be a five star product. That is the only negative thing about the product itself. The only other thing to be aware of is the need for a good electric pump. The hand pump that is provided with the PAD is very good and has a single and dual stage setting which actually pumps this big 5 X 15 pad up pretty quickly, but it is all plastic and I worry how long it will last.Now for the positive. This thing is very well built. the material is thick and the interior filler helps take up room and strengthens the overall pad when it is fully inflated. Kids absolutely Love this thing. It allows them to rough house and wrestle without Dad yelling at them to calm down so they don't break the water toy. In my opinion, the only way to damage this thing is with a very sharp object that is intentionally jammed into it. Short of that, I can't imagine anything that can harm this toy.Also, the ability to change the air pressure also really helps you adjust how much water can top the pad. If fully inflated, it is very hard to get this thing to go under the water or you can let some air out and be partially submerged while you are laying out to stay cooler. The graphics allow you to play games like Twister (which you can download on your phone for $0.99) and checkers/chess or even cornhole/washers if everything floats. But, the best is easily the kids rough housing. They really love the idea that they end up in the water while wrestling.When you are done, you depress the valve and the air rushes out and if you have an electric pump, you reverse the flow and it pulls the air out even faster. Then, it is a matter of folding it up and finding a storage place. It will take at least two people unless you have a really good system. We do not have a dock, so we use this exclusively on our boat and we have plenty of storage, but it would be much better and easier to handle from the shore or a dock. It is a lot of money, but I have no regrets.
