Works well. No issues.
Works well. Easy to set up. I had issues but that is on my internet provider's fault. This modem has been working well for 4 days now. Will update in the future if anything happens. Update: It's been like 5 months now. I've been using internet via this thing without any issues. One thing I gotta say is my internet service is 50mbps, way below the capability of this modem router, so I cannot comment in term of max speed. I do get all my 50mbps. I have Xfinity. This device has been very reliable with my current service. I never had to restart the router due to drop connection in the past 5 months. (I had this issue a lot in the past, not sure if due to other modems/router or due to my previous internet services.) This device got 5Ghz wifi which allows me to play Xbox games from the cloud. In short, great device, I'm glad I bought this. I actually bought a used one here for maybe a third or a quarter the cost of a new unit

1 year in and still working great
I purchased this modem around a year ago in May of 2020 and it's one of the best routers I've used. I work as a network and systems administrator and I'm nerdy enough that I've built my own home network with multiple VLANs using the arris as my gateway. I've only had 2 main issues. 1. It doesn't always play nice with the upstream/downstream power of the connection and I've had to use attenuaters at 2 of the 3 addresses I've used it at. 2. There were times when I had bandwidth issues and other intermittent connectivity when using the wifi but that was before I put all of my IOT devices on a 2.4GHz guest network as well as spreading out the load with my other devices on the appropriate 2.4 or 5G bands (or Ethernet of course). The router interface is a little clunky and doesn't allow you to rename devices that I've found which isn't ideal but it's not a hill I'm willing to die on. I would like to eventually upgrade to a better Arris Surfboard model and use this model as an AP/Router to further even out the load of my network. If you are having connectivity issues with this router the 3 main issues to look into are: 1. If you need to attenuate the stream 2. IOT devices causing interference on high traffic areas and bands 3. Good old ISP might just be pulling a fast one on you and throttling. Worth calling ISP support and Arris support to trouble shoot these issues. Very happy with this router and I will never rent from an ISP company again. I've never worked with an ISP rented modem that didn't give me months of headaches.

Great range, stability and speed. Save close to a hundred dollars/year (or more) on modem rental.
Great range, stability and speed. Easy to set up except there are multiple IP addresses listed on the label and our internet service was no help on determining which one to use for activation and gave up and said to call Arris. I called the Arris support team and they were great, helping me register it and told me which IP address to relate to the provider to activate the modem. Once they activated the modem, it has worked flawlessly for at least a month with no drops. The USB on the back is pretty useless since newer Windows won't recognize a hard drive plugged into it. The 5G is definitely much faster than the 2.4 G but doesn't travel as far, so speed test each to determine the best channel to connect to long term. There is no backup battery or telephony (VOIP) plug which doesn't matter to us any longer, but it might matter to some. We saved close to a hundred dollars/year on modem rental.

Better than competitor in my opinion
Like this because it is working better than a modem/ router nighthawk that had rave reviews. Going to save on modem rental fees. Great price for good equipment. Easy to install. 2 month update review... Nov 18 (2 months after purchase and use) now the modem is acting up. had to restart this morning. Hope this is just a fluke and not a dud. will update soon. I am supposed to have 5oo Mbps i get around 262 wirelessly with this modem.

Saved half the price with renewed, and blazing fast connection with Xfinity!
Amazon Warehouse took another 20% off the already discounted price for renewed. This thing works good as new, and better. 5G wifi tests at 120Mb/s down on a 100Mb/s connection to a TP-Link Archer T2U. Pros: Best bang for the buck that I could find anywhere. 16x4 modem and AC1600 Wi-Fi for a great price. Cons: Not 24x8, 32x8, or Docsis 3.1, so, avoid if you need gigabit internet. Speeds will top out at 600Mbps, and even if you want that I'd recommend upgrading for stability. Plenty of firepower for 300 and lower though.

Easy to install
I bought this to replace Spectrum equipment and it was trouble free and easy. Setting up the wifi in the browser was fairly easy as well. All I had to do was call spectrum with the Mac and it was online in minutes. Edit: I have had this modem for quite a while. I was having outage issues intermittently where it would drop 1 time a day to numerous times a day. Turning off and on the wireless on the task tray always worked. I found that the issue was power management. Go to Device Manager and go to your wireless device and select properties. Go to power management and uncheck "allow this computer to turn this device off to save power" and ever since then my connection has been super stable.

This is a good modem and wifi to buy all in one.

Loved the idea of reducing clutter and was very easy to install to only realize that Cogeco doesn't accept it
