This is probably the best folder you can get at this price point. I like Buck’s steel, again, at this price point. It’s not as good as my Spyderco Endura with VG10 steel but also costs less than a third and will still absolutely do the job. There is zero slop between the blade and grip when deployed. The grip is solid, with no flex. This is a basic knife with no frills. My only wish is that it had come with a pocket clip instead of a sheath. The sheath is nylon, stitched well and has a good solid snap. I’ve bought two of these so far. One is going in my get home bag. I have never had a bad Buck knife. Rest assured, it is well worth the money.

This is a fantastic knife made by Buck Knives. This has become my favorite knife to look at and carry. It is genius in it's design. Buck is infamous for a lot of great things, but the invention of the locking folding knife in 1963 is what has revolutionized the knife world and so many things that involve it. The classic Buck 110 with brass and wood handles along with it's Bowie style clip point blade is iconic. They introduced the lightweight model 110 Lt this year and I just bought it. I'm amazed at's it's simplicity but it's not too simple. The blade has an authoritative snap sound when it locks up. It is a well made lockback and is made for function, yet the checkering on the handle is very intriguing. It has a great sized lanyard hole that fits paracord 550 cord perfect. Hair shaving sharp right out of the box. Knife comes with a high quality nylon sheath and a lifetime warranty. An amazing price point around $30, unbelievable quality. I saw people online talk about wanting thumbstuds or a pocket clip. I disagree, because pocket clips create hot spots that dig in your hand and is always a sacrifice of comfort. Thumbstuds are not only unnecessary, but can interfere with sharpening blades at the proper angle. I see other knife companies asking over $100 for knives that this Buck 110 Lt would eat for breakfast! And last but not least, when you buy an American made product that was made right here in America and not some foreign land such as Taiwan, Pakistan, China, Etc as so many of the knife companies and others are doing, you are helping their families and kids, but when you buy American made, you are helping your fellow citizens and their kids and the economy in which you live! You should factor these things in your purchasing power. I received a fine specimen and couldn't be happier with my new Buck 110Lt knife. If Buck ever produces these in bright colors like blue, red, green, etc, I will buy those too. I love the sheath and this knife. It has a very high quality substantial feel and look too it. I really like this knife. The 110 is legendary, so nothing really needs to be said about the blade design/size. The downside of a traditional 110 really only affects pocket carriers. If you use a belt sheath, I wouldn't bother with this one and stick with the legend. If you like carrying a knife in your pocket, and don't care about a pocket clip (you can add one to this, but it involves buying a leatherman wingman style clip, and using an M6-1.0-16 tap and screw in the lanyard hole) this is the way to go. If you want a pocket clip, I would go for the 110 slim select model that has one included already. All that aside, no matter how you pocket carry this, it's so light it feels like it's not there. I did add the leatherman clip to mine and it's perfect. Having a full-size 110 with all the benefits but without the weight is really great. I love a real 110 for rugged jobs, but for just having a full-size knife in your pocket, these lighter models are perfect. The handle is still very strong and the locking mechanism is every bit as solid - no play of any kind when the blade is deployed, but it only weighs a little over 3 ounces where the original 110 is about a half-pound.

I am not Suzanne, but Clifton, her husband: I own many high-end knives and even make my own, but it's nice to be back with a classic. Great lock-up, no detectable blade play. Great knife and I am very happy with it after sharpening it myself. The knife came with the worst sharpening on the edge I have ever seen from any knife maker, Chinese or otherwise, ever. The edge was shamefully hacked by some newbie, on a new 100 grit belt it appeared. Absolutely shameful edge, looked more like a saw. But now after 20-25mins on my Gatco Clamp, this edge is sweet, hair-popping steel with a beautiful sheen, thanks only to my efforts of course. We'll se how things go as I use it more and more, I've made a few 7 cuts in oak, a bail hanger stick, and made some Jalapeño/Serrano sauce with it. So far I like it a lot. Very happy. I didn't know how I was going to carry it, whether I would use the sheath or not. I sewed the belt loop of the sheath to the width of my belt, and now it stays secure on the belt while drawing-out the knife. The sheath is slim and non-invasive. I am loving going back to the old ways of carrying, deploying, and using my knives. The lack of a pocket clip and thumb-stud are great. It fits so nicely in my hand, and fills my grip with a smooth, warm, yet grippy handle. If the blade stays solid on the hinge pin, I will be very happy. So far, very good.

Amazing tool for the price. No, it is doesn't not exactly look like the classic model, but it performs all the same functions equally. It is sharp and a great value

Not a traditional Buck 110. Good quality. Very light weight. Feels good in the hand. Great price. I'm carrying it as a self-defense tool. It can never replace the original.

La verdad es que es una navaja que te sorprende gratamente. Tengo la 110 con cachas de madera y metal y esta, por un precio bastante inferior me va fenomenal también. A ello hay que unirle que al ser de material plástico, no necesita el mantenimiento de las cachas con el latón y la madera. Muy recomendable.

die bilder zeigen neben einigen details auch die relevanten maße die ein herumtragen betreffen. insgesamt präsentiert sich das „buck110“ in dieser version als vollwertiges taschenmesser im format eines kleinen gürtelmessers. das gewicht macht es geeignet in der hosentasche getragen zu werden und somit ist die mitgelieferte feste gürteltasche eine schöne dreingabe. das messer kam scharf (rasierprobe!) und ohne klingenspiel (jedes taschenmesser hat ein gewisses spiel, das aber im alltag zu vernachlässigen ist. die oberflächenbeschaffenheit ist die eines werkzeuges das täglich mehrfach gebraucht wird. griffig und wertig unterstützt sie die schneidarbeiten. man darf als nutzer eines „klappmessers“ bei aller robustheit dieses messers niemals die maßstäbe anlegen, welche ein feststehendes messer liefert und grobe mißhandlungen wie zb batoning, wie es bei modernen „outdooraktivitäten“ unnötigerweise praktiziert wird, gleich im ansatz vergessen. das hält kein(!) klappmesser aus und das ist (neben der tatsache dass das in den meisten fällen unsinnig ist und nur der faulheit geschuldet ein beil(chen) mitzuführen oder auch nur zu holen) auch für ein robustes feststehendes messer eine herausforderung; neben der gefahr, die von derart groben mißhandlungen für die oft ahnungslosen nutzer und outdoorenthusiasten ausgeht. (die sog verriegelung macht aus einem klappmesser kein (!!!!!) feststehendes fulltangmesser, sondern soll dich als nutzer nur während der ausführung von schneidarbeiten vor unbeabsichtigtem einklappen schützen, während du vielleicht gerade schnitzt oder bis zu den ellbogen in einem frisch erlegten wildkörper arbeitest…) man kann mit dem buck aufgrund seines sauber ausgeführten hohlschliffs gut gemüse und wurst, genauso wie fleisch schneiden. der praktische nutzen einer hechtklinge ist vielen nicht bekannt und man(n) wählt nur nach gefallen. hier sei erwähnt, dass diese klingenform bei der relativen stärke des messers sinnvoller als zb mittelspitze ist, deren sinn wiederum bei schlankeren klingen wie dem schweizer ihren zweck erfüllen…die stattliche klingenstärke von drei mm , was bei einem taschenmesser dieser größe nicht selbstverständlich ist, macht diese klingenformgebung fast unerlässlich, wenn sowohl oben genannte küchen- und vesperarbeiten genauso gemacht werden sollen, wie zb die (zumindest gelegentliche) nutzung zb zerlegen eines (kleineren) wildkörpers. ich finde in dem zusammenhang den nutzen einer matten klinge im kunststoffkörper hilfreicher als ein messer aus messing, holz und dergleichen (über für und wider der nutzung von taschenmessern beim zerwirken kann man im „krebs“ nachlesen). der 420hc stahl der von buck verwendet wird, ist nicht, wie manche meinen, besonders schnitthaltig(…bleibt lange scharf…) sondern neben seiner guten beständigkeit gg zb kondenswasser (und schweiß!!!), dass sich auf taschenmesserklingen gerne beim herumtragen und arbeiten bildet (und unumgänglich zu rost führt), die relative resistenz gg bruch und die fähigkeit mit hausüblichen mitteln wieder geschärft zu werden und zudem einen hohen schärfegrad zu erreichen! auf deutsch: man kann als normalmensch das teil richtig scharf bekommen, auch outdoors… in der hoffnung, hier niemandem zu sehr auf die füßchen getreten zu sein ( ich schätze schöne messer wie das schwere 110 durchaus auch, wos hinpasst), habe ich diese beschreibung nach etlichen jahren der erfahrung, sowohl in der küche (in- und outdoors), als messermacher und jäger verfasst und weiß, dass es zu jeder meinung auch andere gibt. fest steht: dieses messer ist für „stahl in plastik“ relativ teuer, ABER es ist sehr gut ausgeführt, seehr (!!!) sauber verarbeitet und sicher ein begleiter der diesen titel verdient! vor der letzten phase: denk ernsthaft darüber nach, ob du eine klinge dieser länge brauchst, denn es gibt auch das 112 in einer lite-version; das habe ich schon viele jahre in gebrauch und bin immer wieder begeistert, wie schnell und praktisch in vielen situationen die etwas kürzere klinge ist… ansonsten: klare kaufempfehlung … welcome aboard… vielen Dank C.J. Ich habe schon mit meinem Opa in den 70ern Buck Messer bei der Jagt verwendet. Das Buck 110 aus dieser Zeit habe ich immer noch! Hier ist allerdings nur noch ein Drittel der Klinge übrig. Es wurde halt 50 Jahre intensiv genutzt und regelmäßig geschärft. Bei dieser Qualität, dachte ich, es ist Zeit für ein EDC Nachfolger. Mit dem Buck 110 light habe ich die richtige Wahl für mich getroffen. Leider hatte ich es nur kurz, da mein Sohn (Feuerwehrmann) es sich gleich zu eigen gemacht hat. Kann ich aber gut verstehen. :) Werde es mir nochmal holen. Es ist vom Griff her natürlich nicht so stabil wie die Messingvariante, aber dafür ist es leicht und günstig. Ich kann gut damit leben, denn die Klinge ist identisch zur schweren Variante. Und darauf kommt es doch an. Daher klare Empfehlung.
