The PowGrow PV Combiner Box is very well-made and durable. I always look for features such as ample inner spacing for components and connections. These are more expensive but also easier to maintain/or upgrade. They allow for better heat dissipation. Metal is just my personal choice, although some of the PEP types are quality units but just not as good as the steel especially when it comes to a truly solid surface mount. PowGrow has weather strip, tight closure with robust latch and hinges.

Well built combiner box but I still have to install and see if it works

Very sturdy and much nicer than the plastic boxes out there. Box is large enough to bring in a 1" conduit, no problem.

The pics don't do it justice, this thing is solid as a rock. Workmanship looks great, metal case could take the lightning hit directly, all connectors and wiring top notch. They even coiled up the door ground wire, very professional looking. Can't wait for spring to get outside and hook up all my panels with proper grounding and fuse/breaker protection.

Great unit. Only issue to report is it needs to be mounted vertically. No horizontal mounting because it won’t be sealed from rain if connections aren’t on the bottom. I’d also suggest going over the screw terminals and connector tightness during installation. Over all. Did the job just right!
