My dogs love it and it's the most organic dog food I can find,
After having 2 out of 5 dogs I've owned get cancer, and having to put down one before her time, and pay for tumor surgery on a second young dog, I switched from what was supposed to be high end dog food, to this... I did a lot of research on cancer in dogs and dog foods and as far as I could find Castor and Pollux was the only dog food that was using the same standards for organic ingredients that are used for human food. I get the wild caught salmon so the protein in it is as organic as possible, be aware that there is a difference between their "organix" line and the other dog food they make in terms of how many ingredients are organic, and some have a mix of organic and non organic proteins. There are many studies linking cancer in dogs to a diet including corn/grains, which are a primary ingredient in many if not most dog foods. So I always get the grain free options. My Black Mouth Cur loves all the organix flavors I've tried, and the real test was my picky rat terrier, who also scarfs it down. It's expensive for dog food, but for me it's worth it given the incredibly high cancer rates in dogs, (and having had to put one and pay for tumor surgery on the second), which I believe have a lot to do with the lack of regulation of what can go into dog food. Many major brands of dog food are manufactured in China and repackaged in US, so who knows what kinds of chemical toxins, protein from unhealthy or spoiled meats, or lack of accountability there is as to what is really going into it. (strangely, the smallest bags are always cheaper than the larger ones) Also, the higher quality food a dog eats, the healthier their guts are, the less their poop smells, and no diarrhea etc. (both make MY life so much better in terms of picking up after them). AND the dogs themselves smell so much better than when they ate cheap dog food. Now they smell kind of like fritos when they're clean, or whatever nasty thing they've found to roll in. :)

Cat approved!
The price is excellent for healthy wild caught fish. My cat isn’t a huge fan of dry food, but he likes this and will eat it throughout the day 👍

I am thoroughly impressed with this food so far and my little guy seems to be as well......
My little fella loves this food and the feeling seems to be mutual since he hasn't had any gastric problems... and for some reason I love the fact that it has coconut oil listed as one of the ingredients. I haven't noticed coconut oil in any of the other foods I've looked at. I also like that it doesn't contain carrageenan (I may have spelled that incorrectly) - I've read mixed reviews/opinions about this stuff being used as a filler in many items dog and human and for me personally I believe the negative things I've read about it for some reason. When you open the bag you smell the salmon and I find that to be amazing- I feel good feeding this to my little guy. Also I found that Merrick's purchased Castor and Pollux so that's a plus as well because from what I've found Merrick's has been a solid company for years. You may consider it a little pricey but seriously can you put a price on unconditional love?..... I think not...... Also the bag has a Velcro/Ziploc closure which has absolutely no basis whatsoever when considering which food to purchase but is an absolute PLUS...when I see a company do little things like this I feel like they really care and take pride in their product and really think about their customers... 4-legs and 2-legs.....Stellar ingredients for our 4-legged family members and a Velcro easy close for us.

Great dog food
My dog has also been on a meat diet and would not eat any dog food, even though we tried many. We discovered this well made food and it is the only dry dog food my dog will eat. I highly recommend this feed. A little pricey but worth it!
