This thing is great. I charged it when it was delivered, it fit perfect on my Air 3S, I mapped the auxiliary light on my remote, and tested the drop servo. It works just as it's intended to. The only thing I will mention is that there is a bit of a hiccup on the Air 3S with this accessory, and it's not an issue with the drop mechanism itself, but the drone. I have read that when your flying, if you are recording video or takimg phtots with certain exposure settings, the auxiliary light (which triggers the release servo) may not actually turn on because DJI designed the light to stay off while filming, this is so the Aux light doesnt interfere with your videos, as well as photos. So I guess keep that in mind when using this, because this release mechanism is triggered by the Aux light being turned on, it may not work if your recording video because of DJI's software that is intended to preserve video/photo quality. Other than that this thing is cool, and a good price for what it is and what it does. I do recommend this product, and this seller. It didnt take long to arrive at my door after ordering, and it is exactly as shown in the listing. The kit also includes 2 different lengths of string, and rings to carry payloads with, and the 4 extemsion legs that clip on to the drone. These keep the drone a little higher off the ground because of the added clearance needed with the drop mechanism strapped on. I will come back after I have had the chance to use this more after it warms up in spring, to update it's quality after some use. It seems pretty light weight, and constructed using light plastics, so I supposed it could be somewhat fragile if dropped or stepped on, but it needs to be light to keep flight times up. It feels rigid enough, and I feel it will work just fine. We shall see, I'll be back sometime around April or May to update this after use.

This product works fine, but if you're using it on an Air 3S be aware that the lidar sensors detect your towing string and it will not want to descend! You have to turn the sensors off in flight to be able to fly down. Likewise, you have to release what your towing in order for it to land. Also, when the lidar is on if there are insects flying around the drone it goes a little nuts trying to avoid them.

Lost my US$1800 (price in Perú) drone Air 3) on the sea due to this rubbish. Doesnt let the drones landing sensors work, doesnt work as advertised either. Its a scam

The attachment strap is pliable plastic, feels sturdy, and snugly fits the mid aircraft fuselage. The trigger sensor located at the center bottom of the mounting has a small ridge designed to engage and locate the strap right over the toward facing auxiliary light. When properly located with the strap's directional arrow facing the aircraft's forward direction, the cam lock snap secures the strap in place. The provided RCN2 programming instructions are not necessary if you have not changed the defaults. The Auxiliary Light does not operates unless the aircraft is really flying. My first functionally test was 100% successful. Highly recommend the product. I would not call it a dropper. I'd call it an on-demand auxiliary payload release.
