Great device. Enjoying more than I thought I would
Getting the device with the case and screen protector included was a nice bonus. The device works as it should. The games that were included were excellent. A lot of handhelds that come with pre loaded games usually include game lists that have a lot of duplicates, or hacked versions,of games, or foreign version of games that are unusable. The games that came with this handheld were all good versions listed alphabetically and without any unnecessary duplicates. It is also very customizable. Having Wifi, bluetooth and HDMI out makes it a complete package. The screen is excellent. It's big enough to see clearly and the device is small enough to carry in most pockets. All around this is a good handheld for people new to emulation and tinkerers alike.

W form factor, Crisp display, smooth controls...puts a smile on this 90s kids face
This is a brief out of the box review.|Things I liked|-Screen: passed my expectations, if you love retro games than you'd be pleased. The aspect ratio and resolution makes most games look even better than I remember. Almost like an HD remaster.-Controls: For the most part, shy of fighting games and maybe some precise platformers these controls are just fine. Responsive XAYB buttons and clicky shoulder buttons..Dpad is probably the weakest link, a little mushy but not so much that it still isn't fun. For someone like me who plans on playing JRPGS I'm satisfied.-Form factor: I am someone with big hands and I found this unit to be just big enough as to where I can probably play for hours without getting fatigued. I kind of wish the back had some sort of grip but the matte finish kind of does the trick-Gameplay: As advertised they will send you a SD card with a huge list of games. Some overlooked gems, some classics and some that weren't good when they were released and no amount of emulation can fix. Overall I don't see this not running anything up to PS1 flawlesslyOS: The stock os can be a little confusing as it is basically there to load retroarch. I do plan on upgrading when I have the time but for out of the box it will do the trickOverall for my 1st impression I'll give it a 8.5 but will update as I spend more time and tinker with it. Good luck if you decide to purchase

Pretty awesome for what it is.
Full disclosure - I had to return my first one. QA on these units can be a little hit and miss, but if you get one that works 100%, then they're pretty awesome. Read on to find out more...I have used... a lot of retro handhelds over the past few years. Around 30 or so. This is one of the few that I've kept and will continue to keep. For (most) Dreamcast and below, I believe it's one of the best options out there. Why? THE SCREEN.It's not the best panel in the world, to be sure. But the resolution is fantastic for this size. And the 1:1 aspect ratio has some real benefits. You can run many retro systems (SNES, etc) at 8:7 aspect ratio and they still look really good. That takes up most of the screen and gives you a nice, big picture. If you run at 4:3 it still looks great, but boosting it up gives you more real estate, which i prefer. Also, arcade games in TATE mode are freaking amazing. And, of course, it's perfect for GB/GBC games. Best handheld out there for those games, IMHO.Controls feel pretty good, but there is a known issue where diagonals register too easily for some folks. Personally, I found this to be the case and fixed it by swapping out for a different d-pad. Not for everyone, but worked great in the long run.Performance is good, for the most part. It plays up to Dreamcast pretty well, but there are some Dreamcast games that can stutter on it and generally demand a little more than the handheld can supply. However, for everything from SNES on down, it's a completely happy camper and fantastic. It's light, easy to pocket, and is the ultimate "take it anywhere and not worry about it" handheld. Battery life should get you through most of the day, too.The one other thing to be aware of is that the SD cards that are used in these devices are not great. You'll want to replace them with Samsung or Sandisk or another name brand sooner than later. These cards have been known to die within the first week. But, a new one will give you the opportunity to put something like JELOS firmware or something on them.Still, despite the few shortcomings, this handheld is just awesome in use. The 4" 1:1 screen is just incredible for a lot of retro systems and gives a lot more real estate in a smaller area than a 16:9 or 4:3 screen. Honestly, this is the budget handheld I recommend to people that just want to play the older systems. I love mine as a perfect pick-up-and-play device.

Nice but problematic
Biggest frustration is that you cannot exit many games without rebooting the system. You are suppose to hit select and start and it should allow you out, but it doesn't and you are having to to wait for the thing to boot up. 2nd Probably 70% of these games are impossible to play well with this small consile. 3rd They did not include mario brothers. What were they thinking? Lastly, Itwould have been better to include less games but ones that were really usable and functional to this console. Most of these on units all have the same issues. They just haven't got the right easy use feeling they could have if one with to hire a superior brain like mine to design this device!

Great Console, Quirky battery function
The console is great and you can play right out of the box no problem. There are plenty of settings to tweak and play around with. You can also perform some software and physical mods on it.The console overall is great. The way the battery works is quirky (and this can be seen in reviews, reddit and such)-you need to use a USB-A to USB-C and a cheap old charger to charge it.-it charges in the left USB-C port.-It goes into a semi ON state to charge, then you need to "turn it off" to then turn it back on-sleep mode drains battery pretty fast I would say so I dont recommend itNote: if you're gonna mod, be VERY CAREFUL with the circular Wi-Fi antenna because it has a tendency to break and you would have to soldier it back on.

Easy to use plug and play
It is a very nice device with a good screen. With it being long, arcade shoot em up is a blast. When the battery drained it was only able to charge to 24%. Need to open up the device to unplug battery for 10 second and reconnect. To open, recommend getting plastic opener tools to not damage the body. For charging, cannot use type c to type c cable.. it must be usb a to type c and use the usb port not otg port.

You will not be disappointed
This handheld is exactly what I wanted and it is so much fun playing all the games I played in the 80s and 90s.

Stopped working after 46 days
Wont charge, wont turn on. See a green light indicator and then does nothing.Suggest you not to buy from a private seller, rather buy it from the official site and claim support
