I have this readily available for any martial arts first aid kit. During testing it stabilized well and not too tight. Comfortable at a snug fit.

I have been using the thumb splint for a few weeks as have been experiencing pain in the joint and wanted to immobilise the digit. Works as expected. Pretty comfy. Velcro isn't the best, doesn't hold very securely. Try to limit how wide you open the splint to insert your finger or thimb, as its made from aluminium it will split if bent repeatedly. Also don't leave it in a pocket or anywhere else it is liable to get squished, again as it is aluminium it will deform (crush fairly easily). Works well if you are aware of the limitations of the metal.
