Cost Effective, High Quality Dragon Boat Paddle (review for adjustable version)
Really good, low cost paddle - I used this for my first season and a half, and now my daughter who joined the team last year has used it for a year as well (4 practices per week 7 months per year) plus full days of racing in tournaments around the US. The adjustability is outstanding, it's lightweight, and does the job. I used it at the longest legal length (51"). It's gotten banged around in practices and had it's share of paddle clashes with other newbies as we've all learned together, and never has sustained any real damage... I've since moved on to higher end paddles by HYPR and Burnwater (which cost 3x-4x what this paddle does) but this was the one that served me well, and now my daughter (who uses it at a considerably shorter length). I came to this page today as I'm going to buy it for my younger daughter, who recently joined the team... I guess I can't give a higher recommendation than that! The 5/5 stars are comparing the value/price/paddle. I'm not saying this is the best paddle you can own, but it's very hard to beat at anything other than HYPR/Burnwater/other high end paddle level (which are multiple times the price). Additional thoughts: IF YOU ARE NEW - GET THE ADJUSTABLE - the odds of you knowing exactly what your ideal paddle length is right away are VERY low and even if you get lucky, you might eventually want to experiment a bit, even just to see if there's a different "sweet spot" for your own taste. SUPER low maintenance... when used in salt/brackish water it got a quick rinse after, otherwise just a quick clean every now and then. Comfortable handle, however we've typically worn the Palmyth Fingerless gloves (and have them on in the video) https://www.amazon.com/Palmyth-Protection-Fingerless-Kayaking-Paddling/dp/B0G6514Z6P The ONLY ding that I'll give the "PACKAGE" (not the paddle) is that the bag does NOT fit the paddle when it's fully extended to 51", so I had to sew on my own extension to fit it. I guess I could have loosened the nut and readjusted my paddle every single time I used it, but that seemed like too much of a hassle. Again - not worth taking a star away for, but know that when the paddle is fully extended, you'll need to figure out something out... clearly it's no problem for even a slight bit less extended. Bottom line: I need another "beginner/mid range" paddle for our family, so I'm here buying another one today. The one I bought a few years ago is still in service and going strong!

It's a GREAT paddle... But wait! There's more!!
Being new to dragonboat racing, I had NO idea what to look for in a paddle... I knew it had to be "certified" by the national organization so it can be used in races and this one is - so no worries there... But here's the real deal on this paddle: I borrowed some VERY expensive paddles over the first month or two of paddling and I was impressed by how light they were and their adjustability. But I was unwilling to drop $300, $400, or even $500 on a paddle in a sport I might not have continued with. So I went with "economical" and this was the paddle I chose... Well, let me tell you, this paddle (while economical and somewhat "plain") was EVERY BIT AS GOOD as the super expensive ones... Not just in some ways... But in most all ways! The weight is fantastically light and the paddle is strong. It allows me to pull a lot of water with every stroke. It's also fully adjustable (by using the included Allen wrench) and it comes with a carrying case. The only thing it doesn't have is the beautiful artwork that adorns the super expensive paddles... But for a newer paddler like me, I don't need the fancy art on a paddle yet... And I may never need it. I love dragon boating and I love the exercise it provides... And this paddle allows you to do everything everybody else does and not worry about the darn thing getting clacked or in the backseat or trunk of the car... The case also puts your mind at ease. I cannot recommend this paddle highly enough.

Nice and light
It’s one of the lightest carbon fiber paddles I’ve tried. It’s pretty good for the price. Only problem is the grip part on the shaft. Tends to rip your skin off if you paddle without any hand protection. I had to put tape over the entire grip area to protect the hand. But I guess it’s like getting a paddle without grip on the shaft.

Durable and light weight!
Great paddle. Light weight, durable even in practice with multiple collisions with beginners. No signs of chipping or cracks after 1 season of Dragonboat practice/racing across multiple heats.

Great paddle, cheap bag.
The Paddle is great, look caregully for the tool to tighten the nut for adjusting. The Cover/ bag is not very protective and the zipper broke first day. Great paddle but plan un buying another case.

Dig! Power! Power!
I am new to Dragon Boat racing. We brought home the silver in my first regatta with this bad boy. Not too shabby. The best lightweight and adjustable paddle I could find for the price.
