This Godox TR-C3 wireless remote controller is quite simply amazing. Straight out the box, stick batteries in - 4 x AA size required, 2 per unit but not supplied - and away you go! In the box you get the remote, the receiver and dedicated 3 pin lead (C3) that fits into the receiver, then on the hot shoe of a Canon camera plus last but not least, a well written instruction manual. A read of the instructions is well informative and outlines the potential of this remote from single shot to interval timing etc. The 3 pin lead fits into the camera socket - mine is Canon 5D 11 model - and that’s about it. There are quite few videos on YouTube, from Godox and independent reviewers, that are easy to follow and understand. However DO MAKE SURE first that this fits your Canon model as outlined in the specifications as this will save a lot of time wasting and also Amazon returns. I bought this so I can photograph assorted night-time projects and to say I am pleased with this device would be an understatement. If anything, my only minor niggle is there is no socket or attachment ring to suspend the remote on a lanyard or similar to hang around the neck, much like a light meter, but it’s the only minor niggle I can find, so not bad going.

Bought this mainly to trigger my camera from across rooms when I shoot real estate and move my flash around. On all but a few occasions, this trigger does its job. The times were it didn't fire the camera it appears that the walls in the home were made of concrete-filled cinderblock with stucco.I briefly used the intervalometer to test it out and it was a little complicated to get started, but once I figured it out, it was a piece of cake. It's nice the camera mounted receiver features a cold shoe foot with a 1/4"-20 treaded insert. If you have a flash on camera, you can mount the received off to the side with a clamp or magic arm.

The TR-C3 does exactly what you need it to do.The exposure time function worked flawlessly and setup was easy and we had absolutely no issues at all. I definitely recommend this to your camera bag setup.

Using this for remote triggering from a fair distance and it has worked flawlessly. Does not feel flimsy and seems to be fairly durable. Will update if it proves otherwise.
