This is an amazing speaker! It sounds like the Bose speaker I had, which cost ten times as much. It paired really easily with my Galaxy Note 8, as well as my boyfriend's IPhone, and my IPod. It plays FM, too, but you have to get used to how to make it search and then to figure out how to keep it on a station you like. The instruction book is not very detailed, so you have to just play with it.We had it on the beach, and others really enjoyed our music - even on a windy day and with lots of people, you could still hear it well.The only issue we have now, especially since we cannot find the instruction book, is that it is speaking in Japanese when we try to pair it, so now it won't pair. I still gave it five stars because I feel it was my error and could be easily fixed.I looked at almost every other speaker on here, and I know this is the best one for the money!

This Outdoor Speaker by 8Gtech is amazing! I love it! It is portable, waterproof, rugged, and LOUD! I love how it has so many functions. I has NFC, Bluetooth, Aux Cable input, micro USB charging, and TF card ability! And something I haven't seen in most speakers, FM Transmitter. It can scan the stations automatically and then you cycle through them by a long press of the + or - buttons. The volume on this little speaker is fantastic! Excellent quality and bass! It even can be used to to answer phone calls. The microphone on the speaker works well for this too! I like the army green color of this speaker, should help with any dirt or smudges on it.

It's solid/heavy. It seems to be a great bluetooth speaker. I was looking for something that was weatherproof had bluetooth and FM radio capability. It has both, but the FM radio is not intuitive at all....If you only need a bluetooth speaker this will be great for you. If you are looking for a more versatile speaker/radio i would probably suggest getting something different.Also there were some pretty basic typos in the instructions....

I really love this wireless Bluetooth speaker. To start off with, it was very easy to pair with my phone. and water resistance + shock resistance+FM radio,The audio streams crystal clear with no issues at all. The sound is amazing as I said before. At low to medium volume, the speaker has good (crisp) sound. At high volume, the bass is really quite excellent and the audio becomes decently,. This is fantastic! I use it in the shower, at the pool, on the river tubing, around the house while I do chores. Great sound, great battery life! I gave this a 4 only because I lost the instructions on how to use the FM radio and I cannot find them for free online. So I can't rate how the FM radio is, but the blue tooth aspect is better than I expected and I love it.

For those who've never tried either, what you can expect: Amazing sound quality even at high volumes, great sound output, a substantial (read: heavy) build quality, beautiful exterior, rock-solid functionality (connecting to a phone is fast and simple) and the list continues. Basically, if you're in the market for something that will last you a long time and you put some value on sound quality this is the speaker for you. Don't get the old one, get this one.I haven't tested the range fully, but I can tell you that I've had my iPhone in my pocket at times and walked upstairs and to the furthest parts of our house, and the connection hasn't dropped. I'm sure it has limits, and it may depend on how fully the speaker is charged, how fully your phone is charged, what the walls in your house are made of, and so on. They spec it for 30 feet, but I'm sure there will be variations on that with individual experiences.JUST GO FOR IT!

I love this little speaker. I haven't tested the water resistance as the beaches are closed right now. I take it on the patio and listen to my audio books and music all the time. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My husband bought this for an outdoor speaker to use while he fishes or works outside. He's had no issues with it and it holds charge well. Great purchase for the money. Would recommend and buy again.

Great quality bluetooth speaker with a rugged build and superb sound quality.Among countless bluetooth speakers on the market, many still manage to stand out among the crowd. While this 8Gtech bluetooth speaker is not a particularly unique design, it holds up excellently compared to other speakers within the same price range. The quality on offer here is superb, and the speaker never managed to disappoint me.Packaging:From the get go, one can tell that the speaker is high quality. This speaker features some of the best packaging I have seen out of a product like this. It is more of a show than practical, but this fancy packaging does well to bring the quality image across. When it comes to accessories included, those are the standard audio and charging cables. High quality packaging is very nice to see, but other than that it is just a box. To some extent, money could have been saved on the packaging to bring the overall price down and no matter how fancy it is, most would just throw this nice box away and forget about it.Design:This 8Gtech speaker looks pretty standard when it comes to the design, but there are many touches I really liked. The device features a very rugged construction that would survive countless drops, and additionally features an IP56 water/dust proof rating. The buttons are integrated into the frame, and all of the access ports are covered by rubber coating.Where the speaker does stand out is in the rest of its details. I really liked the double speaker grill for ambient sound. As most speakers don't have this feature, it was nice to find it in this product. The speaker grills are very heavy duty and also offer the same level of protection as the rest, and a nice design of those only adds to the looks. A wrist band comes already attached to the speaker, and simply provides a small hook for carrying the speaker.The buttons for control are very typical, with power, volume up/down and call located at the top of the speaker. These are built into the outer frame, but have a good level of click on them. A similar situation applies when it comes to the speaker inputs. All of them are just standard audio, micro-USB and SD card. While the speaker doesn't offer much new in those terms, it never actually needs to. With its design, I was not disappointed by the speaker, it looks nice and has everything I would be looking for.Sound Quality:Most large-sized bluetooth speakers have impressive sound, and this one is no exception. Compared to the competition at the similar price point, this speaker performs very well. Sound quality doesn't disappoint with great clarity and balanced bass. The speaker goes up to relatively loud volumes, and won't disappoint if all you're looking for is blast some music. Even at high volumes, I haven't noticed a decline in sound clarity, which is always excellent and the bass brings on lots of power with no distortions. Generally speaking, I haven't found any issues with the sound from this speaker, and it stacks up well both against its competition and the other speakers I have had the experience with testing.Brief Mention on Battery Life & Bluetooth:This speaker features Bluetooth 4.0 that is common to more than half of bluetooth devices available on the market. This version of the technology provides great sound transmission and a relatively long range to make the speaker usable in most of the situations. The battery life holds up very well for 12 hours. Considering the price point, that holds up really well and in most cases, one can use this for a week or two before recharging. When it comes to these factors, I have really no complaints either.Overall, this speaker by 8Gtech is one of the best performing water proof speakers available on the market. I was very impressed by its design and quality, which is excellent to see at the around $50 price point. The construction is very durable, and even for this price, you still get a waterproof rating. It is not the highest, but iP56 performs very well as long as the speaker doesn't get submerged in water. Sound quality has no issues, and as someone who likes loud music, I was never disappointed.
