This book is a collections of short stories by a former Surfer Magazine editor. All your favorite and obscure surfing legends are in this book. I grew up in SD surfing and obsessed over Surfer Mag, so this book is very nostalgic for me.

My boss is a huge surfer so I got this for him as a Christmas present. He loved it and said it was a very thoughtful gift. Perfect gift for any surfer

Matt George would be an excellent writer if you didn't care in but about surfing. If you do this is required reading. All the good Surfer Magazine profiles from the 1980s till te end. Several show stopping travel stories. Facets of history you had no idea about and a virtual book in a book about the magic, mystery and beauty of Indonesia. There's no way this review can do the book or his story any justice. The world is lucky to have him in the era of social media where some the most fascinating things in surfing today are being described with emojis.

Good short stories of different personalizes of the surfing world of the past 20 years

Matt’s younger brother Greg taught my husband how to surf in Northern California. He had only met Matt and his oldest brother Sam a few times, but had and still has a great respect for all of them. As soon as he saw this book, he had to have it. He has absolutely devoured every word, story and fact about life as a surfer, whether young or old! I love hearing the stories that I’ve heard read to me from the book. I’m glad that Matt has shared his stories and love of the wave. Thanks Matt!!

Loved this collection of essays and stories. George touches on a range of subjects, including surf history, personalities, and travel…. His writing is literary, fluid, fluent, moving, at times funny, at times poignant. Beautiful read for anyone who dreams of blue horizons.
