I am playing guitar casually on & off for 20+ years. I would consider myself and intermediate player. I have 5 acoustics but mostly play on my smaller acoustics like Taylor GS Mini & Taylor Baby BT2 which I still love but this Lava guitar is in a league of its own when it comes to what you can do with it. This guitar feels a littler heavier then my others but plays just as smooth/easy as my Taylors did out of the box. There was 0 buzz but it needed as small truss rod adjustment (tool provided and easy to do, but research first if doing for first time) to loosen it but action is still good for me, 2.75mm at 12th freet. I will file down nut eventually which will make it lower but I'm in no rush. My other guitars all needed similar adjustments so nothing new and I feel the out of box experience is just as good as my Taylors. The sound without the speaker/smart stuff is also very good. I am a software developer so can appreciate good software and all I can say is the software has so much features, very easy to use, encourages you to play/learn more and I had no issues (big kudos to the developers!). My only concern is if the company goes away and shuts off the servers then will all the features still work locally. Hopefully it doesn't happen but having a offline mode without an account would make me happier. I'd also wish I could download my draft loops so I can email/WhatsApp to other people. My favourite features so far are creating loops and playing over drums. It opens up a new way of playing alone in my room and really motivates me to play more. The learning section is also amazing. I am still finding new things to do with it but overall I think everyone should have a guitar like this at home, especially beginners or intermediate players trying to get better.

I love this guitar and I'm very anxious to play it other than strum the strings. Everything I switch it on I get as far as it asking me if I've downloaded the app onto my phone. Google play took the payment for the app but I still can't download. So I am unable to fully use it. Not Amazon's fault but very frustrating.

So glad I got this. I now need to practise so that I can enjoy it. Nice sound, once tuned. Was a bit nervous tuning it, had the app on the guitar and on my phone until I was confident.

This guitar is highly recommended for players of all levels, from beginners to experienced musicians. It's excellent for practicing strumming techniques and scales. The price is reasonable, and its design is visually appealing.

Get a lot of hardware and a easy playing guitar for the price.

A great guitar with numerous awesome and helpful features, Ideal for beginners or advance players, beginners will benefit from the learning features built into the guitar such as chord recognition, ear training etc. Also has effects similarly found on pedals, such as delay, reverb chorus etc. Yes these guitars are expensive but I think are worth every penny if you get the full benefit out of what's on offer.

After the reviews and online hype, I expected Soooo much more!!! I was seduced by the £££reviews. Most of the effects are hardly noticeable. I wanted the guitar to go loud to fill a busy room, not so, the phone app sucks as it is very limited, very disappointed.

Incredible, beautiful and wonderful guitar ❤️ The playbility is great and the onboard effects are amazing too. The action of the fretboard is also superb. Only a good quality bag is missing.

I didn’t get the truss rod wrench and data cable. Which comes along with the guitar.
