Everything is cheap plastic. Leaks that cannot be stopped. Motion sensor doesn’t work. Constantly cycles off and on with no movement Had high hopes, but returning.

See below for my original review about a week after installing it. FYI in response the manufacturer reached out to me offering a full refund. I declined saying that I bought it, I own it. But thank you... **************** Now a month and a half later....... I really do think its effective and worth the money. There is a trick to success which I have learned...... learn exactly where your pests enter the garden and/or where they go to steal your veggies. The device must be put in a location that easily "sees" that location. You might even have to get sprayed to learn the right place. When you are successful (it took me 4 tries) the device will do a good job. I apologize for my earlier review which was premature. I am now picking tomatoes and enjoying the show when those pests get scared and wet!! ******************* What I said a week after I installed it.......I bought this to deter squirrels from picking my small patch of 10 tomatoes. The unit does not leak like some other reviews claim, it does recharge the batteries with the solar cell and it does not waste water since it times out at 5 seconds. BUT it does not "see" the squirrels and therefore does not spray them. Further, if I walk by it quickly (fast walk) it does not "see" me either. To trigger it you must be large and stay in its "view" for a more than a few seconds. I wont return it since it was my choice to try. If you are looking to deter small animals such as a squirrel walking through your garden, look elsewhere for a solution. Perhaps future upgrades of this one will work better. Or you can try one of the other more expensive products.

This is the cheaper knock-off copy of "Critter Ridder." I just returned it and got the brand name item. Most assuredly, the brand name item is far superior to the cheaper knock-off, from its instructions to hardware to performance. Don't waste your time with the cheap knock off to save $10. The instructions aren't as good. The battery installation is more complicated and inferior. The spray is way off and points down. The product is more leaky, so they give you some cheap plumbers tape to compensate for inferior workmanship. The sensor is inferior and the instructions are not helpful. Overall, the product is far inferior and only saves you $10.

I don't believe there is 1 single component of this item that is built to last. Not 1 part that is metal( zinc , aluminum,etc). Entirely plastic. And we all know how well plastic holds up in the sun right? Lol. This thing will only leave u wondering how a product of this kind would work IF it were made of quality materials. I mean it just feels so weak, fragile and light duty that the whole time ur putting it together, ur worried it's gonna just shatter in ur hands. It's THAT flimsy feeling. So much so that after using just 1 time, u can tell this thing isn't designed to last , at all, it's designed to break QUICKLY. I imagine their training is that people will just have to buy a replacement that much sooner . Not this dude tho: plants are big enough now to tolerate squirrels etc.lol. I can see the potential in this product, IF it was made of materials other than hdpe, which they do make ,just not at this price point. Which is why I gave 2 stars instead of just 1 for it being a plastic piece of crap . My 2cents

I've had this Yardeen sprinkler in place for a month and a half now and it's working perfectly. But of course, this is the kind of thing that many people just are not going to be able to master. If you would have trouble, say, changing an ink cartridge on a printer or resetting a tripped circuit breaker, then this is probably not for you. I would advise following the instructions carefully. Also I'd recommend using a brand new high quality hose as it will be sitting in the sun under pressure for months at a time. I'm using an RV-type pressure regulator as we have very high pressure here (90 psi). Note that the unit can be easily turned off temporarily by setting the sensitivity dial to zero. All in all, nicely designed and well constructed.

It sprays very high and cannot be adjusted.

Muy efectivo, Tenia al rededor de 5 gatos intrusos en mi patio que agarraban de arenero y desde que instale este dispositivo ya ni se acercan. Hay algunos gatos muy sigilosos que no logran ser detectados pero son casos esporádicos. El aparato trae un tipo de dial de ajuste para la intensidad de la sensibilidad y en la parte de donde sale el agua trae otro para el ajuste de la distancia del chorro de agua. 10/10

Funciona bien, aunque hay que tener paciencia para instalar.

Garbage. It “worked” for 2 months but had no consistency in how often or when it would spray. I could walk in front of it and it wouldn’t go off and then seemingly nothing would make it fire repeatedly for days. Today I woke up to a flooded yard because the plastic broke and it released sometime in the night. Cheaply made garbage. 2 months old.

Easy setup, variable distances, uses regular AA or recharge batteries. Love it!
