I originally purchased this Ethernet adapter for a Dell laptop and it worked fine, getting ~875Mbps compared to 945Mbps that I get on my desktop with a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet adapter using Speedtest. I then tried it with an iPad Air 4th gen and it again worked, getting ~803Mbps. However, when I tried it with an iPad mini 6th gen, it wasn't recognized. I thought this was odd since the two iPads were released around the same time so I contacted their technical support. Their reply was "Not compatible with iPad mini; only compatible with iPad Pro." I guess I got lucky with the iPad Air.

Good network card that can support 10/100/1000Mbps speeds. I can confirm that it's a Realtek chipset, thus everything will work out of the box on any macbook or laptop with usb-c ports (the drivers for realtek chipset are build-in to the moat of the OS, so it’s plug and play).
