I think the noise is definitely a 'YMMV' thing. I read a ton of reviews complaining about the noise. I'm 36 with great hearing ability. I do hear the noise, it's not that I'm tone deaf to it. But the noise is so minimal that unless it's going to be less than 4 feet from where you sleep (and 4 feet is being very generous in a super quiet environment), you're not going to hear any noise...at least from this particular unit. I do understand that even units from this same batch could be extremely noisy unlike mine, but judging from the one I received, I have to say the noise reviews are way overblown. I will be purchasing three more eventually to complete a 4S4P battery setup, so I will update this review once I can compare additional units. As for the balancing, it works great. I confirmed 4 of my batteries were out of sync on voltage fresh out of the box by a 0.13V range. I gave it 2 days on the balancer, and all were exactly the same. I'll be buying three more based on the good unit I received and report back whether they are good or bad.

Good product for the money. Been running for 6 months and keeps all 4 batteries well balanced giving me capacity I hadn’t realized I lost.

The echo worthy battery balancer was a fantastic product. I’ve recently converted my golf cart to lithium and this device is fantastic for regulating and maintaining individual battery life in the system.

The high pitched whine is when it's balancing, not when it's idle. Not ideal but not constant. Remember you'll also need more battery cables when changing from two strings of four to four strings of two (lead acid). This brand usually makes simple stuff that works simply so I expect this will too. Oh, the terminal ends all have a silicone cover to prevent shorts during installation which I was pleasantly surprised to see! Very smart.

They work. Nice aluminum cases unlike others with plastic cases. The ones I have are silent. Apparently some older ones would whine. Not these. All good. So far I have 5 of them balancing 20, 12V,100ah lifepo4 batteries. These should help them live a long life. Id like to get 10+ years out of these.

I had four of the same brand12.8v 280ah batteries that read. 13.48, 13.41, 13.37, and 13.38. After around 6 hours they were all balanced with only two different by .01. I saw some reviews about noise, but it was silent for me. The only way I knew it was working was through the BMS app (when it showed an occasional .5 amp burst) then using a multimeter to measure all at the end.

What a piece of g... It is loud. Extremely loud. And high-pitched. It actually hurts. The cat disappeared in the farthest room of the house. Still refuses to come back. As a cat or human detterent it would be a great device tho...

I've bought a lot of Eco-Worthy products before and I think this was the worst purchase so far. It looks and feels cheap but worse of all, it emits a high pitched whining sound constantly! This sound might be acceptable if you're more than 10 feet away but I'd hate to have to hear this high pitched sound every time I am near my batteries. The sound isn't annoying or offensive but it's a constant reminder that I have this subpar device that was also expensive. I have a different balancer for my other battery bank, it's also cheap but it has a voltage readout for each battery and that doesn't make a sound and that thing cost less than this Eco-Worthy balancer. On the pro side, it seems to work. It doesn't get hot. The terminal rings are 8mm which match their battery lugs. The installation was simple. The wires are plenty long and flexible. It has a metal body. It's somewhat small. Another con, there are no leds or visual indicators to tell you that it's turned on or working. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this because that high pitched sound will get annoying overtime.
