Some clarity among the noise
I think the noise is definitely a 'YMMV' thing. I read a ton of reviews complaining about the noise. I'm 36 with great hearing ability. I do hear the noise, it's not that I'm tone deaf to it. But the noise is so minimal that unless it's going to be less than 4 feet from where you sleep (and 4 feet is being very generous in a super quiet environment), you're not going to hear any noise...at least from this particular unit. I do understand that even units from this same batch could be extremely noisy unlike mine, but judging from the one I received, I have to say the noise reviews are way overblown. I will be purchasing three more eventually to complete a 4S4P battery setup, so I will update this review once I can compare additional units. As for the balancing, it works great. I confirmed 4 of my batteries were out of sync on voltage fresh out of the box by a 0.13V range. I gave it 2 days on the balancer, and all were exactly the same. I'll be buying three more based on the good unit I received and report back whether they are good or bad.

Works perfectly
Good product for the money. Been running for 6 months and keeps all 4 batteries well balanced giving me capacity I hadn’t realized I lost.

Effective Voltage Balancer
I have an issue before on my series and parallel connections on my batteries due to unbalance voltage. It took 2 days to balance my 1V difference from 2 of my batteries and even there is a high pitch noise, the device is working fine. Also, my power bank gained more power density.

Not good.
What a piece of g... It is loud. Extremely loud. And high-pitched. It actually hurts. The cat disappeared in the farthest room of the house. Still refuses to come back. As a cat or human detterent it would be a great device tho...

Works but zhazbot it is LOUD!
Pro: it works as advertised and kept my batteries at 13.4v Con: its high pitch sound is unbearable after a few minutes [see my video], and one can achieve the same result by managing the solar charger settings.

Pleasantly surprised
Very nice product. I was pleasantly surprised that the wires were actually long and not short as depicted in the pictures. I thought I was going to have to add length to the wires to connect it. Made install much easier. Only took about 20 minutes to install into the golf cart.
