I had one of these when I was a kid and wanted to get another one as an adult for the nostalgia. I’ve been running it all day and night for a couple days now and there’s been no issues. It does make a clicking noise every time the film goes around, but the one I had 15 years ago did the same thing (and they were probably “higher quality” back then). My AC running is louder than the sound of the lamp running (other than the clicking, it’s actually very very quiet).

I ordered this light for my little boy who has developed a love for aquariums and fish but isn't ready for a real fish tank just yet. He absolutely loves this lamp and falls asleep watching it. Other reviews mention a loud noise but mine is practically silent.

I LOVE this!! Looks like the picture and works great. A little expensive, but happy with it overall! The colors are very vibrant, and it’s a good size. I will say that the lighting itself looks a little patchy and cheap, and you can see that the design is printed on a thin sheet of paper since there’s some overlap that becomes visible at a certain point during the rotation. It tends to be a little noisy sometimes if it gets stuck and from the effort it takes to keep going, but I leave it on all the time so it could just be from the wear. I’ve had it for a few months now.

Didn't come with instructions but on the side of the box it cautions that it shouldn't be used for lighting and run no longer than 8 hours..Plug it in .. relax... and watch the fish slowly swim by... best part you don't have to feed them or clean the tank..!

The cat has absolutely no interest in this. It’s really cheesy.

The media could not be loaded. It's Purrfect! Bought this for the cat condo I use to foster kittens for our local shelter. They love it. Something for them to watch and I turn it off at bedtime.
