My first bottle arrived, I loved it and I immediately ordered a second bottle. My friends bought themselves some, decided they liked it, and as a surprise sent me a third bottle without knowing I already had two. So now I have three!!!!

Nice presentation, no fuss, good strong scent that lasts longer than some budget brands.

I love this aftershave, that is not the problem. They sent me the other Halston fragrance and the small bottle when I had ordered the large. Then I had the hassle of sending it back.

classic New York style fragrance - I love it M

I fancied a new, different scent as I always get oceanic ones, and the fragrance profile on Fragrantica sounded interesting so I thought I'd give this a try. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in my local stores so had to buy blind without doing a sniff test. I'll start on the positive: It has great projection, so you won't need a lot - more than three sprays and they'll smell it next-door. It also lasts for hours - I think it's at least 4 or 5hrs unless you wash/ do something active. Not quite the sticking power of some more expensive brands but good enough. And the bottle is both comfortable to hold and easy to spray - as well as being a generous size for the price. It also looks subtle but interesting if you're into keeping your bottles out of cupboards. However, the fragrance is full retro 70s/80s - it's basically Imperial Leather soap, talc, and something reminiscent of Brut or Old Spice. It basically smells like your dad/ grandad. Which some might like (for instance my dad LOVED it!) - for me though it just smells old fashioned, and not necessarily in a good way - although I do totally get that not everything has to be everyone's cup of tea. Basically though - although there is definitely that "not my taste" aspect, where Im coming from is that there are some classic scents that have aged beautifully, and have that "timeless" vibe - to me though this just has a kind of "trapped in the past" feel to it. If you're into those retro scents then yes, I would say its a great one both in terms of performance and "highly evocative of the era" energy - but personally I'll be sticking with my bvlgari aqva for now, and keeping an eye out for that "something different", because this ain't it for me!
