NUTS U.S. - Dried Crystallized Ginger Slices in Resealable Bag (2 LB)

I have had These before and got addicted to them but was buying them from the self serve bins at the grocery store until I saw a lady let her baby reach into the bins with nasty fingers and eat some of the treats. That did it for me. When I saw these on Amazon, I decided to give them a try and wish I hadn't because now I have to go to Ginger anonymous as I am again addicted to these. I have to be careful as I will end up eating the entire bag in one day.If you have never tried these before, at first it has a peppery kick to it and a bit of a lingering tingle in your throat but believe me, even if you don't like them, you will end up saying " let me just try one more" and the cycle begins. ( I am eating some as I write this ) I might buy the bigger bag next time. Also if you look up the benefits of ginger, it says it can help with joint issues. The product is packaged in the U.S but is sourced from Thailand just in case you are a "Made in America " only consumer.

I ordered this ginger expecting the same dry crystalized ginger that I can find in the grocery store around the holidays. I got about 3 or 4 times as much as what I would have paid the same amount for at the grocery store and the ginger was wonderful. moist, flexible, fresh. Addictive! There's plenty for me and a lot left over to share with friends.

The unsulphured crystallized ginger is PERFECT in my opinion! I bought the 3 lb bag and no joke, 10 days after delivery it's almost gone. It's just ginger and sugar, so it's nice and sweet but also very gingery and peppery. I came to write a review and noticed the unsulphured is out of stock, I really hope they get it back because I will keep buying it again and again. Perfect for a snack, to help an upset stomach, or to help with motion sickness. The slices are so fun and delicious, I've never had that before (I'm used to the chunks in the brand I normally buy). The 3 lb bag is an excellent price, much cheaper than the tiny bags at my local store, and the flavor and texture is exactly what I want. Please get these back in stock! I'll buy more!Sure, like 2 pieces were a bit stringy but I ate them anyway, and there was one piece that was kind of hard so I chucked it in the compost, but that's just natural variation in ginger in my experience. I cook with a lot of ginger so know that can happen, but honestly like 1 hard piece in a 3 lb bag is totally acceptable to me and I ignore it. This product is exactly what I want in crystallized ginger at an amazing price. And this brand is like the only unsulphured bulk product at a good price I could find here on Amazon.

I finally learned that the noticeable differences in crystalized (candied) ginger has been due to the use of chemicals in the processing. So many we've tried were light in color and flavor and the textures were often strange. Finding this un-sulfured pure crystalized ginger at Nuts U.S. at such a reasonable price made me skeptical of the product but two pounds for about $14 was worth giving it a try. Wow! This is exactly as I remember the ginger I used to get in San Francisco's China Town many decades back. It has that intense bite of ginger and the texture is perfect. Don't be turned off by small color variations as this is merely the nature of the raw product. Read the label and you learn that all you are getting is ginger and sugar. No chemicals; no preservatives; nothing added. Delighted to have found this excellent product.

Okay, the nutrition facts says it has 23 grams of sugar per 28 gram serving but there's only a little bit of sugar so I think the label is wrong. It's not 82% sugar like the label says.Great spicy flavor that keeps my coworkers from wanting any.I'll be buying more but it'd be great if the seller would fix the label... I don't know how they do their math but it's really far off

Received these today. I have had a “stomach bug” nauseous, etc. I ate one piece of the ginger, in small bites. My nausea has gone away!! Anyone who suffers w/any kind of stomach issue, I recommend you buy this product. This a one pound bag!!! The local health food store charges $12.00 for a one ounce bag. Ginger is good in so many recipes, I will be buying from this company again!!!!

As a ginger ‘junkie’ who raids the local stores of their stock all the timeI was getting tired of buying small bags and took the plunge with this big 3 pounder and am very happy with this product. The ginger pieces are fresh,soft and chewy and coated in sugar crystals(I like to shake in a covered container to remove some of it). Overall this is a good deal at a fair price for a big bag of these yummy treats. Eat a few anytime for some sharp and ‘bitey’ flavor but really good after a meal to aid in digestion. The pieces are mostly med to small and easy to eat. I keep some in almost every room in small screwtop containers to feed my need. Your experience may be different than mine but I will def be ordering this again. Ginger on....

This is a wonderful, fresh, delicious product! I use candied ginger for baking and just for popping a couple as candy/a treat every now and again. These ginger pieces were plump, tender and just all-around delicious. I detest the flavor that sulfuring fruit when drying them imparts, so was overjoyed to find this company that sells the candied ginger unsulfured. In my opinion, it makes a world of difference in the overall flavor profile. Used these for making Christmas gift gingerbread cakes and it went over like gangbusters! Will definitely be purchasing again.
