SME SSI Sight-Rite Bullet Laser Bore Sighter 300 WIN Mag

Getting a chamber-specific bore sighter (rather than purchasing a whole kit) has required a fair amount of research. I am unfamiliar with this particular brand, but the one I purchased seems to have done its job well and held up OK. I read many reviews and product descriptions prior to making this purchase, and it seems that several other options out there have battery issues or don't fit the chamber well. This particular model has a power switch on the rear, so the laser can be turned off when storing rather than having to remove the batteries every time. It was fairly easy to set up, just put the included batteries in the back and screw on the cap. Also included is a small key to turn the dial on the back to turn the laser on or off. It fit the chamber well and I was able to get my new scope sighted in on my .30-30 with relative ease. This is not a final sighting, however, as you still need to put some rounds on a known-distance range to be as we like to call "battle sighted," but this will get you on paper on a 100-yd target so you can fine tune your scope adjustments.

Does the task exactly as expected, best used at dusk or inside on range. Remember to either take out batteries after use or retain the white disc to break the circuit by placing it between the end piece and first battery

it shines on the target it will help set your gun in the right direction but you still have to adjust your scope for it to hit the bulls eye

The product is fine but it’s several days late. It obviously wasn’t shipped in a timely manner and on top of that the tracking showed that it went all over God’s creation to get here. Lost in transit for several days evidently.

Failed to turn on. I followed the instructions from start to finish, and it just never worked. I asked friends to help me “figure it out.” Everyone who tried came up with the exact same result. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever buy products manufactured Sight-Rite again. Extremely disappointed.

Used it to help support zeroing an AR15 for 36 yard zero. Easy to see and worked very well.

Have a few of these in different calibers. All work as intended. No problems with the one I received

Good product so far works as it should

So far so good - although my kids got a hold of it and im sure the cats have seen much more of this bore sight than I have! I have the .243/ 308 version. The 3 batteries are housed in the casing. Have used it in the gun a couple times and it comes out straight.

it worked great and I got it within five days .Will buy one for my shotguns .

good for the price. You get what you pay for.

Worked well for 3 seasons - total use about 1 hour. Then last year it wouldn’t turn on. Tested batteries, tried new batteries, reversed batteries... nothing worked. Called SSI and they offered a discount on a replacement with a much higher price but shipping was not through Prime so I bought a different style (magnetic mount on muzzle) which was much cheaper and works on any barrel.

Great Product, used this product on my rifle n sighted in my scope. Highly recommend. based on caliber you are looking for.
