Simple Solution That Actually Eliminates Ant Problems
These TERRO ant bait stations have completely solved our recurring ant problem. After trying sprays, natural remedies, and other baits with limited success, these stations eliminated our ant issue within days and kept them gone for months. The liquid bait formula is incredibly effective. Ants are immediately attracted to it and consume it eagerly. Within hours you will see trails of ants leading to the stations. This is actually a good sign. The ants take the bait back to the colony where it eliminates the queen and the entire nest. This is true colony elimination, not just killing the ants you see. The stations are ready to use right out of the package. No mixing, no complicated setup. Just place them near ant trails or areas where you see ant activity. The clear design lets you monitor bait levels and ant activity. You can see when it is working and when stations need replacement. Placement is key to success. Put them along baseboards, under sinks, near entry points, or anywhere you see ant trails. I use multiple stations in problem areas for maximum effectiveness. The 12-count pack provides plenty of coverage for a typical home or lets you address multiple problem areas simultaneously. Safety features are well designed. The enclosed stations keep the bait contained so pets and children cannot directly access the liquid. The ants enter through small openings that prevent larger animals from getting to the bait. Still, I place them in areas away from high traffic for extra peace of mind. The results are dramatic and fast. Day one you see lots of ant activity as they discover and consume the bait. Day two or three the activity peaks as more ants join the feeding frenzy. By day four or five the activity drops significantly. Within a week the ants are completely gone. It works exactly as advertised. Long-lasting effectiveness is a major advantage. One application keeps ants away for months. Unlike sprays that only kill on contact and provide no residual protection, these bait stations eliminate the source. No more seeing a few ants, spraying them, and having more appear the next day. This breaks the cycle completely. The bait remains effective for extended periods. The stations do not dry out quickly or lose potency. Even in hot conditions they continue working. Replace them when the bait is consumed or after a few months, whichever comes first. Cost-effectiveness is excellent. The 12-pack provides enough stations to treat an entire home multiple times or maintain protection for a full year or more. Compared to professional pest control services or repeatedly buying sprays that do not work, this is incredibly economical. Works on multiple ant species. We have dealt with small sugar ants, larger carpenter ants, and everything in between. The bait attracts and eliminates them all. Universal effectiveness across different ant types makes this a reliable solution regardless of which species you are dealing with. For anyone struggling with recurring ant problems, stop wasting time and money on products that only address the symptoms. These TERRO bait stations eliminate the colony at the source. Place them strategically, let them work, and enjoy an ant-free home. This is the solution that actually works.

Impressive pest control that works
This product delivers! I purchased it on the recommendation of our local state Extension Service agent who is the insect expert. Normally, we would use a commercial pest control service but my son and I are cancer survivors & we are reluctant to have the chemicals saturating the house. The containers are small & fit in out of the way spaces. They are most effective when changed every 2-3 months. During the winter months we saw no evidence of ants & didn’t need to switch them out as often. Highly recommend.

My ant problem was gone by using this product within a few hours.
I very rarely write reviews which is kind of stupid because I usually read reviews prior to getting certain products. Therefore I guess I will start now, hoping I can help someone decide wether or not this product is for them. Before you read this long review I want to let you know this is the BEST product I have ever used. Before I tell you about how AMAZING this product was I will tell you what kind of Ant 🐜 problem I had. Maybe someone can relate. I have a parrot and he is in a room that is near a window. With all the different types of food he eats and with the warmer weather that we started having in my area (NJ) I started seeing ants outside. That’s when I started seeing some ants coming in from the bottom left corner of the frame of our window. I have never had an ant issue with the 17 years I live hear. Even having my parrot and all the amounts of food he eats. For some reason last year during the spring time is when I saw these crazy little annoying bugs come in my house. These ants seemed to be a different type of ant. One I have never seen before. They were small but the minute you go near them they would run away or scatter away super fast. I have an exterminator on my block and he told us they were sugar ants. What the hell is a sugar ant? Lol. Well I was told that these ants hide out in your shower and in the kitchen because of the sugary foods around. Why are they found in a bathroom is beyond me. But I looked it up after what he said and everything he told us was what I read on line about “sugar ants”. I mentioned that last year I had this problem and they were found behind the faucet in our shower. That’s another story. Anyway, before having an exterminator come into my house, I figured I would try to resolve the problem myself. So before buying this “AMAZING PRODUCT”, I purchased all the “Raid” products that come in the square plastic containers. The ones that come in white or grey containers. I put the Raid traps by the window and where else I thought they might come in. I actually tried the mixture of vinegar, sugar and water concoction that was told on line to use for these ants. But nothing worked. I doubt an ant even went to these traps because near my window they would go around those traps. I was getting frustrated because I skeeve bugs. And I was afraid of an exterminator coming in with my parrot living here. I wasn’t taken that chance of him dying with the chemicals. Anyway after coming to a dead end with the Raid traps I began reading and reading on so many products just to find a worthy product. That’s when I came across this product. It was very different than the normal products that are used to kill ants. So I figured why not, let me give it a try. I received my order really fast and was anxious to use them. After reading all the directions these baits were very easy to use. It comes in a thick clear rectangular container. To open it, it Reccomended to hold it up right and twist off the plastic top until it snaps off. It was a little tough for me to snap off the top like it says on the package. Therefore I used a pair of scissors to open the trap. Word of advise, if you need a pair of scissors to open your product, just make sure to keep the trap upright so the liquid doesn’t pour out. After opening the trap, I then placed this trap about 3-4 inches away from the bottom corner of the window. Right where I saw the ants coming in. They scurried away from me at first, but the minute I put this trap down it was shocking!! No joke. I was shocked to see all these ants go running toward the opening of this trap. The trap actually attracted more ants to come out of hiding to eat this food (crazy). I actually spilt a little bit on my windowsill and some ran to that and got stuck. But what was amazing to me was after I put the trap down and watching these ants go to it, it was shocking to see them run right back out of the corner of the windowsill. It was crazy. I just watched for a few minutes and to see them either get trapped inside the trap or grab some of the food in the trap and run back outside or wherever they came from. And by the end of the day they were gone. It’s about 2 weeks now since I only used one trap and I have yet to see another NASTY ANT!! Wahooo!!!! They are gone. This product is BY FAR THE BEST ANT PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LIFE!! This is noooo joke. Therefore you can count on me to continue to purchase and use this product for any ant problem that might arise again. I will never buy a different type of ant trap again. No matter how popular people feel the “Raid” products might be. The sprays are only wonderful for the outdoors but for the inside the “Raid” products are definitely not as effective as this product is. I actually gave my neighbor 2 traps and after a day or two they were gone by him as well. These traps are crazy how wonderful they work. I swear by this product and I know if you purchase these traps you will too. I will never buy another kind of ant traps again. These are the BEST kind of ant traps on the market by far!!! And mind you, I AM NOT making any kind of commission from this company for this product review. I am just sooo happy my ant issue is gone for now. Sooo, if you want to get rid of these annoying, nasty bugs “FAST,” then purchase these traps. And I promise you, you will be so happy you did.

Effective Ant Control That Works Well, With Minor Patience Required
TERRO ant killer bait stations have been a reliable solution for indoor ant problems, and overall they do a very good job at what they’re designed to do. While they’re not instant, they are effective when used correctly, which is why this earns a solid four-star rating. The biggest strength of these bait stations is how well they attract ants. Once placed near trails or entry points, ants find the liquid bait quickly and swarm it. This can look worse before it gets better, but that’s actually a sign the product is working as intended. The ants carry the bait back to the nest, which helps eliminate the colony rather than just killing surface ants. Effectiveness is strong, especially over several days. You don’t usually see results overnight, but after a few days to a week, ant activity drops significantly and often disappears completely. For recurring or stubborn infestations, this colony-based approach is far more effective than sprays that only kill what you see. The bait stations themselves are simple and easy to use. There’s no mess, no mixing, and no spraying chemicals around the house. You just place them where ants are active and leave them alone. The clear design also makes it easy to see when ants are feeding and when the bait has been used up. Indoor use is another plus. These stations work well in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and along baseboards without strong odors or fumes. They’re discreet enough to tuck behind appliances or furniture, and they don’t interfere with daily routines. The reason this isn’t a full five stars comes down to two things. First, patience is required. If you’re looking for immediate results, this may feel slow. Second, placement matters a lot. If stations aren’t placed close enough to active trails, results can be inconsistent, and you may need to reposition or use additional stations. Overall, TERRO ant bait stations are a proven, effective solution for indoor ant control when used properly. They take a bit of time, but they address the root of the problem instead of just the symptoms. For long-term ant elimination without harsh sprays, these are a strong choice and well worth keeping on hand.

Dealt with little black ants quick
I had little black ants in my bathroom and thankfully in my situation I was able to figure out where they were coming from outside. So I placed two of the baits near their trail. Within 24 hours they were out of there. I saw them getting into the bait as soon as an hour in. These were highly effective for me and kills ants by taking the bait back to the nest! Just make sure you keep your dogs and children away from them, but overall since the bait just stays in the plastic, they’re fairly safe. I think the price was pretty good. I was able to use just two for the invasion in my bathroom and used a couple more baits when I saw trails heading toward my house. It’s worked well and fast each time so far! Just remember that not all ants like the same bait so there could be a chance the type of ants you’re dealing with may not like it.

Works on Florida Carpenter Ants (Red head, black body)
I live in Texas. I had a Florida Carpenter Ant (red head, black body) infestation for about a month, and this was one of the first baits I ordered. This stuff works very nicely. My only complaint is that the "tearable tabs" are terrible. You will probably need to use scissors to get them open. Ants WILL take this bait if they have no other methods of obtaining moisture. I am not certain if this bait was 100% killing the ants, but it was at least making them extremely sluggish (Carpenter ants are TOUGH). I had to start using the other 2 DIY baits listed below before ant activity completely ceased. Most effective baits I used to get rid of my infestation: TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer, 12 Bait Stations (make sure you have scissors to open these, the tabs suck) DIY - Mix Powdered Sugar with Baking Soda, put it in a baggie or a lid DIY - Mix Borax (1.5 tablespoons), Warm Water (1.5 cups), and either sugar (0.5 cup) or some peanut butter. Mix well, and then soak a cotton ball into the mixture. ^for this one, I used peanut butter, since I had already set up the baking soda/sugar trap. For all of these traps, you are going to want to place them somewhere near the entrance of where the ants are coming from, out of reach from pets and children. After a few hours, you should start seeing more of them show up. This is because they are hastily working to bring the "food" that they found an abundance of back to their nest. Don't mess with the traps or squish the ants once they start doing this, they are delivering poison to the nest. You can continue killing the ones that are not collecting the bait (e.g. ones that are just wandering around your house--they are either lost or scouting, no reason to keep them alive). Just make sure you throw the dead ants away, so that they don't attract more ants over with their pheromones. If there are locations the ants are falling from, I'd recommend mixing water with dish soap in a (preferably) rectangular bowl with skinny edges, and then placing that under the drop point. This mixture will paralyze the ants and drown them as soon as they touch it. You NEED to use soap--carpenter ants are very good swimmers if the water is not tainted (Dish soap is toxic if ingested, so do not let pets or children near this mixture either). Ants change their mind on what they want to eat every so often, so I'd recommend using all 3 of the baits I listed if you want to get rid of them as fast as possible. If they are not taking any of the 3 baits, there are 2 possibilities: 1) It might be a bad time of the day for them--ants are generally most active at night, and early in the morning; or 2) They are in their mating cycle and have no interest in eating anything. The only advice I can give you for this is, just leave the traps where you had them and wait for them to finish the cycle. If you see winged ants, SQUISH THEM. They are breeders, and they do not collect food. One last piece of advice: Carpenter ants make satellite nests. Their main nest is most likely not in your house--there is a good chance that it is in rotting wood (trees/logs), or in the dirt somewhere near your home's perimeter. Because of this, I'd also recommend looking for an insecticide spray that you can apply to the perimeter. I used "Spectracide Terminate Termite & Carpenter Ant Killer", and while it does work, I would suggest looking for a different one. Its spray pump is VERY annoying to use, and it is electronic, so there is no getting around its tediousness. Just make sure you read up on the insecticide's proper usage before applying it (most of the companies will have a website for this). I hope you found my advice helpful. It took me over a month to get rid of my infestation, since I initially had no clue what I was doing, and was just blindly ordering baits. I felt hopeless, and eventually I called 3 different exterminators... they all tried to get me to do a 1-year "maintenance" contract with no alternatives (over $700!). I spent about $95 trying to get rid of these things by myself. Over half of that money went towards useless bait that they did not care for. If you follow my advice, you will probably be spending under $50. Good luck!

They work!
These work! With the start of warmer weather, I was seeing a lot of ants in the house. I'm not sure how they found a way in, but they did. Within a few days of laying these traps around the house, in areas where I'd spotted ants, the ants magically disappeared. The ones that had a meal and lingered ended up dying near the traps. These traps are easy to use, but can be messy if not careful. After tearing them open, be sure to keep them level to the floor otherwise the liquid inside will escape. I'll buy more of these as needed.

Effective Idea, But Liquid Design Isn’t Ideal for Homes with Pets
I like the concept behind these — ants take the bait back to the colony and it’s supposed to eliminate the problem at the source. In theory, that’s exactly what you want. In practice, I had some issues. The biggest downside for me is that the bait is a very runny liquid. With large dogs around the house, I don’t feel comfortable placing these out in the open where the ants actually are (mainly my kitchen). It seems like they could easily get knocked over or leak, and I don’t want to risk my dogs getting into it. Because of that, I had to place them in more hidden spots, which likely reduced how effective they were. As far as results go, I didn’t see a noticeable decrease in ants where I needed it most. The traps had no dead ants in the liquid after nearly 2 week's, so no clear indication it was working. I noticed others posting images of ants inside the liquid, but this was not my experience. It might take longer or depend on the type of ants, but I was expecting more obvious results. Pros: Simple setup, no mess during initial placement Smart baiting concept Comes with plenty of stations Cons: Liquid bait is very runny and feels risky around pets Hard to place effectively if you have dogs Results weren’t obvious or fast in my experience Overall: This could work well in a pet-free home where you can leave the traps right in high-traffic ant areas. For me, the safety concerns and lack of clear results made it just average.
