This little fidget toy is great because I can bring it to work and keep it on my desk. It looks fancy and professional enough I don't look like a child when I have it and I always have this fun fidget toy I can play with anytime I want to during the day!

I am a collector of fidget items to help me with focus and anxiety, so I was immediately intrigued by this beautiful set of 4 nicely polished and interesting stainless-steel shapes. They can be stored in their drawstring bag or left out as a piece of art. There is also a nicely finished wooden base that you can use for your creations. It is first recommended that you put the pieces in the correct location on the base. I think I managed to do that correctly, and I did enjoy that process.Next, I tried spinning the pieces. I got two of them to spin, but they spin for a very short amount of time, so it’s not spinning the length of time that can mesmerize me. Finally, I moved on to the balance challenge. It pains me to admit that I failed miserably at it. I tried copying the towers in the book. I went to the website to see the designs in 3-D, moving around. I guess there is a sweet spot where the pieces become perfectly aligned and will balance but I couldn’t find it. And the pieces are so highly polished, making them very slippery. I managed to get two pieces stacked, but they’re not impressive and balanced like the ones in the directions. I tried many times over the course of several days, but for me it is more of an exercise in frustration. I recognize that the problem could be with me, but the only time I find this item relaxing is when I just hold the pieces in my hand. As a sensory seeker, I do enjoy the weight and the smoothness of them.

However, a word of caution: the box arrived damaged, likely due to rough handling during shipping. While it's evident this was the courier's oversight, it's worth keeping in mind the fragility of the item container when ordering. The actual product itself came in excellent condition!

This thing is great for quiet fidgeting time, like when you are stuck on conference or office phone calls for way too long and need something to help you pass the time and stay awake. This doesn't take up a lot of space and it looks adulty enough to play with because it's made from wood and metal. Comes in a cute wooden box to store it all in too. More challenging then it appears to be, and it has a helpful and fun booklet included too. Took off one star because the assorted metal pieces came with weird smudges and multiple fingerprints on them even though they were shipped inside the drawstring bag.

I stumbled across this listing, and honestly, didn’t know much about it, but thought it would be a nice “fidgeting tool” for the coffee table. It arrived in excellent time, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I knew nothing of “stacking stones”, but apparently this is a “thing”. It’s fun to figure out different ways to try to stack the stones, and it definitely requires focus and thought, which is great. I love having stimulating tools around for the family, and for myself, as well.The stones are a good weight, and the base is very well made, the finish, flawless.We’re definitely interested in finding more of these type of things, as we’ve all enjoyed this one so much. Would definitely make a beautiful, unique gift.

I guess I am going to be the naysayer review on this item, which I had high hopes for when I ordered it. I was shocked at how light-weight and cheap the "solid wood" base is, plus mine was rough and damaged. Be careful with the metal stones - they are heavy and it will seriously hurt if you drop one on your foot. The stones also attract fingerprints and quickly looks bad. A quick wipe down with a soft cloth takes care of them, but you have to touch them to get them on the base, of course.If the base was pristine and heavy-duty, instead of being cheap and so light, it still would not be worth fifty buckaroos. I see it currently has a coupon that will knock a ten spot off, but this is not something I would pay even half this much for if I had seen it in person. Cannot recommend.

I think the bigger puzzle with this item is "why does it cost that much?" It is ornate to some degree, as the shapes are odd and not boring at all. In the most fashionable sense, it is a shiny piece of abstract art. In a more functional sense though, the puzzle element to this fails to excite as piling the metal shapes together seems fruitless. Perhaps it is just my impatience or lack of building skills, but I am not seeing other reviewers posting many pictures of structures they have put together with these either. The stones themselves slip down as you try to build, and they are fingerprint magnets due to the shiny surfaces. Despite my reservations about price and lack of puzzle function, I still have this on my desk as a decoration, with the metal stones neatly placed within their trays. It is unique and honestly does not look bad.

This Planet Deer desktop art puzzle is certainly a gift idea with a wow factor.It has four quality stainless steel three dimensional art pieces that interlock with gravity. The wood base is premium with cut outs to start stacking. It looks like an abstract piece of art work even done and you can modify the arrangement. The only con is that it can stump impatient people with two dimensional thinking! This is a strong recommend.
